HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I went to bed at 3:30, and they woke up as usual around 8 am. I made breakfast, we fed them them, and Randy got his breakfast ready and then took them downstairs with him, while I went back to bed. At 10:30 he put Sammy down for a nap, but not Emmy, as he did not seem tired to him. He seemed pretty tired by lunchtime, though.
My alarm woke me up again at 11:30 so I could get lunch ready. The little ones were getting baby jars we need to use up, while I was cooking for the adults. Sonja came at noon, and then we started feeding them. I had made some sweet potato fries that the little ones got to try.
After lunch I put a tired Tammy to bed, and thankfully she falls asleep fast during the day. I wanted to wait for her to sleep before putting Emmy to bed, and it worked well. Tammy lay down at 12:45, and Emmy at 1 pm. Sammy went downstairs with Randy, and I went back to bed myself. Randy put Sammy to bed a little later, and I woke up when I heard them being awake again. It was about 2:30, so a little earlier than it should have been, but we all went downstairs to play.
Today their sleds arrived in a big box, while we were eating, and Emmy loves boxes anyway, so his eyes lit up. I cut the box open and let them check it out. We then took the box downstairs so they could play with it, and they had lots of fun with it. Emmy was a little hesitant to crawl inside. I made it into a garage at one point, putting the car and tricycle inside, and Sonja decided to put herself inside, one time together with Emmy.
At 3 pm we went upstairs to eat cereal with fruit, before going back downstairs to continue playing. Emmy and Tammy were EXTREMELY cranky this afternoon, tired, crying, wanting to be with me. Their nap was definitely too short! We let them out of the play area, let them get on the swing, and then put them on my old office chair and started turning it, which they enjoyed. Thank God for Sonja, who kept coming up with ways to keep them distracted and busy.
Because of their tiredness, I already went upstairs half an hour earlier than usual, at 4:30 pm, so we could eat at 5, and that was a good decision. They didn't eat any less because of it. Tammy sometimes throws fits when she wants something, and today she enjoyed playing with the place mat that was lying on the table.
Remember, I told you yesterday about the accident she had in the bathtub. She was jumping up and down, holding onto the edge of the bathtub and then hit the edge. Her eye looked bad last night, and I was surprised how much better it looked in the morning. You can see her blue eye really well in that one picture.
After dinner, they went into the bathtub, and ate the last of their fruit there. I don't know why it tastes better there. Then they went to bed, in their regular order. They all ended up drinking some milk before falling asleep. Tammy had a hard time again, and I ended up leaving and coming back several times. Randy left for the grocery store right after dinner.
I was getting my food ready when he returned. It was a slow evening again, but I really don't mind the housework that much, once I get going. It's just that being tired and therefore slow to get going means I lose time, which then means I go to bed later, as I still have office work to do.
