HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Another day in the Wilson household in Vienna. Another short night, as I've been going to bed as 4 am approaches. This morning it was a little after 8 before we woke up and got up to feed the babies. I had just put one spoonful of food into Tammy's mouth, when Caritas helper Christine arrived at 8:30. I gave her different instructions and went back to bed.
She fed Tammy and Emmy, dressed them, and took them outside our apartment, just to run around and have some fun. She said that they thought the fence was hilarious and did lots of laughing at each other through it. In the meantime Sammy had his Mobile Therapy Support session inside from 9 to 10:30. He does much better at that time, as he is not tired.
At 11:30 they had lunch, food that Christine had prepared, and then they all went to bed. Their bedroom is right next to ours, so I can hear everything. Even though Tammy was already very tired, she never fell asleep. Emmy woke up first, then Sammy, and even by herself, she did not want to sleep. I had no choice but to get her out of bed. I tried again to lay her down for a nap at 3 pm after their afternoon meal, but it wasn't working either. Tonight she fell asleep rather quickly, not having slept all day.
I got up when they woke up from their nap, made my food, and took it downstairs, then spent some play time with the little ones after having eaten. We always had lots of fun. They also have fun with Daddy. Today he used an empty Amazon box to fan the boys, and move balloons, and Emmy thought it was hilarious and tried it himself. Emmy also got to ride on Daddy's back. Tammy loves books, and brings me and Daddy one book after another to read to her, often the same one over and over again. Today a new animal sound book arrived as well (forest animals), and they enjoyed it. A swing arrived as well, and once the hooks get here tomorrow, Randy will be able to put it up. Sammy did lots of crawling, as always, and is getting pretty good at it. And today, I heard Tammy say "Daddy" more often than ever.
I left them at 4:45, as Tammy hadn't slept, and Emmy hadn't slept long. Half an hour later we sat down to eat dinner, then went into the bathtub where they ate the rest of their food. Sammy came out first, and I put his braces on. I now put them straight on his skin (second night like that), so that there are no pajama folds inside them. He went to bed first, then his brother, then sister. And Sammy had a really hard time tonight. It seems that every night it gets worse. Last night I loosened his braces at 11 pm, and then he was okay. Tonight I put them on looser to start with, but he was still crying hard instead of sleeping. I held him for a while, and put him back to bed, then held him again. I did that a few times, before he finally fell asleep. I feel for him having to wear those braces.
Right after they had come out of the bathtub, Randy left to go to the grocery store. In between holding Sammy I was able to get my food ready and eat. Then housework and office work. I'm still not catching up with everything that needs to be done.
