Tonight it's nearly 3 am as I begin to write my update; I lost time taking a relaxing bath after they had fallen asleep. Last night it was nearly 4 am before I went to bed. This morning they woke up earlier than usual, and we did get up about 15 minutes earlier than we usually do. After they had eaten breakfast, Randy went downstairs with them, while I went back to bed.

Yesterday the boys stayed up until lunch as well and went to bed after. However, today Randy put them to bed at 10:30 again, as they were tired. I had hoped we could continue with the new schedule. He even put Tammy to bed, which doesn't work, so I got her back out, and Randy went back downstairs with her. Emmy only slept 45 minutes, before he started crying and I got him, and also took him downstairs. Today they were eating baby food jars, and so I put them into the warmer and went back to bed. I was waiting for Sammy to wake up to feed them, but surprisingly, he was still asleep at 12:30, so Randy woke him up and we fed them all at that time. Then I put the girl to bed, and starting making the meal for the adults, while the others were downstairs.

After having eaten, Sonja and I were playing with the boys. Sammy has been crawling a lot, and crawls straight to me, or Randy. Today he never sat in his new chair. Randy wants to put it upstairs, and it might be good for meal times, but we have not received the tray yet. Emmy was also having lots of fun. He's really good, just a little better than his sister, at putting shapes through the correct holes.

Sammy really likes newspapers - tearing them apart and biting paper off to chew. He got a hold of my paper today, and Sonja made a hat out of it and put it on his head, as well as Emmy's, but Emmy does not like hats.

At 2:30 we started feeding both boys downstairs. Neither one really wanted to eat much. I put Emmy to bed, and the girl continued sleeping and Emmy was pretty quiet. But when Sammy came a few minutes later, Emmy started talking, and the girl woke up, so I took her downstairs with me. It took Emmy a while to fall asleep. So Sonja and I had fun with Tammy downstairs. She ate the leftovers from her brothers, and then I got some snacks as well, though she is not a big snack-eater. We played with the peek-a-boo bear from Grandma, but I think Sonja had more fun with it than Tammy.

At 4 pm I woke up the boys and brought them downstairs as well. As they had eaten little, I gave them snacks as well. We then had fun until 5 pm, when I left them to get their dinner ready.

We sat down to eat dinner at 5:30 pm, and tonight I was feeding Emmy. Then they went into the bathtub, where they finished their food and then had the cereal with milk leftovers from the morning. Sammy came out first, and I put his pj's and braces on. However, I wasn't too happy, as the folds of the pj cannot be comfortable inside the brace. In fact, I took them off at 11 pm, when he was again crying, and he was fine after that. Starting tomorrow he'll wear them straight on his skin, without the pj.

Tonight was a tough night in terms of them falling asleep, and I thought I could never walk away. Emmy was wide awake again, Sammy was crying repeatedly, and the girl kept crying whenever I walked away, calling me back several times. It was later than I had wanted, when I finally got to go into the bathtub, and then pretty late before I got to eat, and then start working. It's another late bedtime for me.
