HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
What a day! After three days of going to bed at 4 am, I was extremely tired all day and had a hard time functioning. The Mobile Therapy Support lady arrived at 9 am to spend 90 minutes with Sammy, while I finished cleaning up and went back to bed. Randy talked with her about Sammy standing up, and she talked about special shoes and maybe even braces. However, she's not a doctor or a physiotherapist. She just plays with Sammy.
I was going to cook lunch today, but simply not up to it, waking up with a headache because of the tiredness. Instead I put baby food jars into the warmer. When Sonja arrived at noon, she fed Tammy and Emmy in my place, while I cooked lunch for the three of us, getting some easy food out of the freezer. Our food was only ready after they were already done eating. They all went downstairs, as I was so tired I forgot to put Tammy to bed. When I tried a little later, it didn't work out. Randy said she had "rested" on him in the morning, while the boys were sleeping, and so she was not tired enough. So all three slept later, at different times, after spending some time playing. They still enjoy the new books with animal sounds a lot. They have a spot with "fur" on the animal, and when you stroke the fur, the animal makes noises. They love it!
They didn't eat much this afternoon - Emmy before sleeping and Sammy and Tammy after. Sammy was awake first, and so Sonja and I spent some time with him by ourselves. Sammy can sit up pretty well (kneeling), when holding on to the rubber donkey. I was impressed how well he kept his balance, and for how long. I then left and Sonja stayed with him. I then brought down the other two once they were awake. Randy was at the grocery store in the afternoon, and gone for quite a while.
Sonja is so great with them, laughing herself for much of the time, and just having fun with them. I enjoyed watching them, and being able to just lie down and rest. From time to time Tammy would come to me with a book to read to her, and Emmy just to check in with me. Emmy was getting pretty cranky, so I left before 5 to go make their food, but dinner was at 5:30 as usual. Sonja had already had to leave, so it was just the five of us.
They ate a good bit, and then continued eating in the bathtub. However, they did not eat everything tonight, and while they had been crazy about the cereal with milk, tonight they didn't finish it either.
Bedtime was really tough tonight. Tammy and Sammy would not stop crying, and Emmy's bed is between them, and they kept him awake. Milk, dental cream, nothing helped. I kept coming and going, stroking heads. Tammy was already so very tired, and finally fell asleep, but Sammy was still crying. In the end it was Randy who held him for a while, and when he put him back down, he fell asleep. Finally!
I got my food, did some work, but noticed how very tired I was, having a hard time working. Thankfully it gets better as the night goes on; I've always worked well at night. Still, I know that I HAVE to go to bed earlier tonight as I can definitely not continue going to bed at 4 am.
Tonight Tammy weighed 10.2 kilos (+400 grams in 2 weeks), Emmy 9.3 (+500) and Sammy 7.8 (+100).
