HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It was really just a day like any other, with the five of us being at home all day. My bed time is getting later again, to 3:30 am, which gives me less than 5 hours of sleep, which is not enough. I got up, made their breakfast, fed them, cleaned them up and dressed them, and then Randy took the downstairs to play, while I went back to bed. It was already 10 am by then, so I only had just over an hour before my alarm woke me up again.
I got up and started cooking lunch for us all. Cremed spinach with egg and potatoes. I mixed one spinach baby food jar in with their food. We have to use them all up after all. The spinach made for some great green paint, coloring their bodies and high chairs. They had a slow start at first, but in the end ate everything.
The boys had a morning nap, but Tammy sleeps only once, right after lunch. Yesterday she had slept in her bed, so I decided to try that again. I put her into her bed and walked away and started cleaning up the kitchen. She was crying hard, so I decided to finish up in the kitchen and lie down with her. However, suddenly it got quiet. She had actually fallen asleep in her bed! Yeah! That's the second day in a row! Maybe she can finally sleep in her bed during day time, which frees me up big time to do other things. I was so elated, I started doing house work, including stuff I hadn't yet done since we moved in half a year ago. I suddenly had so much energy, wanting to take advantage of this unexpected free time.
In the meantime Randy was downstairs with the boys. Once they were getting tired, he brought them upstairs for their nap. Sammy was really crying, and Emmy was also still up, so Randy gave them both milk.
When the girl finally woke up, it was time for their afternoon meal. Emmy woke up at the same time, so he hadn't slept long. Sammy was still asleep. I put them both into their high chairs and started feeding them. Meal times have been taking longer, as I always have to bring fruit and yoghurt and snacks out. Emmy didn't care much for the cereal with fruit jar, so I fed Tammy the rest and never opened a second jar. Tammy was crying really hard, and so I finally gave in and held her while feeding her. They eat a lot of apples and bananas now!
Once they were done, I cleaned them up and dressed them and went downstairs with them to play. By then Sammy had woken up, and so Randy fed him. I've been pushing and pulling Emmy on a little car, but it's not very comfortable doing so by bowing forward. So I decided to get the vehicle out that has a long handle so I can push him while being straight. I strapped him in and started pushing him in circles. He loved it! I was going fast on the straight stretches, and I had to lift the front wheel up so his steering wrong was not affecting my ability to steer him. On and on I went, and my back started hurting anyway, but he loved it. When I took him off so Tammy got her turn, he complained loudly, but I was able to push her in circles for a while, and she also enjoyed it. She didn't like it either when I took her off, but Emmy was elated to be able to get back on, and so I started pushing him again. It felt like I had done hundreds of circles, and I was getting tired, so I finally stopped. Emmy did not approve, but I didn't care. I was spent. Who needs a gym when you have toddlers! I put the push cart into the baby bed and sat down. The video I uploaded shows how Tammy is trying hard to get to it. I told them tomorrow.
In the meantime Randy and Sammy had joined us as well, and Randy gave Emmy another car that he should be able to move himself with his feet, but somehow they don't do that yet. And Tammy really likes her rocking chair. Today she actually stood on it (again) to get to a toy she wanted.
Emmy started getting tired, and at that point the only way to keep him happy is to throw and twirl him around. I finally left to go upstairs and get their dinner ready, and so they ate at 5:30 again. I guess that's their new dinner time. And they all ate really well, emptying their plates. Well, Emmy finished Tammy's fruit, as she was throwing a fit, wanting me to take her out of the chair and hold her, but I wasn't doing it, so she stopped eating. She needed milk tonight before falling asleep, as she had not eaten enough.
Once they were done with dinner, they all went into the bathtub to play, and they're still enjoying their new sandbox toys in the water. Emmy pooped into the water, so they all came out fast at that point.
It was bedtime, and Emmy fell asleep fast. Sammy didn't take long either, just the girl needed a little more time. I was so very tired again that I could have fallen asleep again in the chair, sitting by her bed. I left before she was asleep, and she was okay with that.
I made myself some food, ate, did housework, and started on office work. I found out that the lockdown is not ending in a week as was planned, but that the government has now extended it until the end of February!!! That's so annoying! No swim class, no dance class, and petting zoos and fun activity parks are all closed. They are getting older and missing out. We can only go to the playground now. We've had snow the past few days, and I ordered some baby sleds, so we can go to the park. Hopefully there'll be more snow, especially after they're delivered.
