HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
14 months 9 days - Last night it was a little later, 3:30, before I got to go to bed, and I paid the price today, especially as I did not get to sleep after their breakfast as I usually do.
We fed them at 9 am, but did not put them to bed, as they weren't tired enough yet. I would have liked to lie down, but it takes Randy a while to make his breakfast, and so I went downstairs with the little ones so they would not cry. After a while Randy came down with his breakfast, and as Emmy as getting tired, I went upstairs with him to lie down and get him to sleep. It was 9:45, and he fell asleep on me. At 10 am Randy came up with Tammy and Sammy and put them to bed. At first he was holding Tammy, who needs the most help to sleep, but when Sammy started crying, he put her down and walked away. Once Tammy was crying, Sammy stopped, but Tammy made up for it, crying really hard. I was right nextdoors hoping Randy would come back to rock her, and wondering what I could do. Emmy would probably be awake if I put him down to pick her up, and that's what happened. By 10:30 all three were up and roaming around, being happy again. I was lying in bed with Sammy (who usually won't sleep on me), while the other two were on the floor having fun, and sometimes I pulled them onto the bed, when they wanted to. Sammy and Tammy hadn't slept at all, and Emmy not long.
At 11 I lay down with Tammy, while Randy was downstairs with the boys. First I put their lunch food into the warmer and turned my 11:26 alarm off. We both fell asleep. At 12:30 we woke up when we heard Sammy cry, and so we got up. Randy was about to feed Emmy and Sammy. At 12:45 we started feeding them, later than usual. After lunch, Sammy went straight to bed and slept for half an hour. I also put Emmy down, but he would not sleep. Time was short. Randy was cooking us omelets, while I picked their clothes and started dressing them. We ate, and then we got ready and put them into the strollers to leave.
We left 10 minutes later than planned, but arrived on time at 3 pm. It was our first time having a 90 minute play session at the Mobile Support Headquarters. Because of Corona, we were the only ones there, together with the therapist. We put them all on the big swing, right after walking into the room. Emmy had finally slept in the stroller on the way there, and he really needed that, and he was still only waking up. They all sure enjoyed that swing! When Tammy was on it all by herself, Daddy was swinging her really hard.
There was so much to explore in that room. A swing, moving things on the wall, balls, and moving bands hanging down, and of course quite a cool wooden drum. Sadly the box full of balls to jump into was empty because of Corona, though Tammy tried to go in anyway. They all had lots of fun!
At 4:30 pm we left there, which was already rather late. Unfortunately there are still a lot of old trams running in Vienna, with high steps to get on, and so we had to let 2 trams go to finally get a new one where you just roll on. Because of that it took us longer to get home, and it was already 5:30, half an hour after their usual dinner time. Obviously I was not gonna start making their food, which takes me half an hour. Instead I put their soups into the warmer that they always have for dinner, and since they had not had their afternoon cereal with fruit, they were gonna eat that after the soup, and that's what they did. Then they got changed into their pj's and went to bed. They fell asleep relatively fast.
Time to cook and eat and get to work. We'll see when I'll make it to bed tonight; I'm sure the American election coverage will keep me up.
