It was 3:15, when I went to bed last night. I had worked hard to get office work done, though I was pretty tired. I got up at 8:50 to make their food, and we fed them and put them to bed for their morning nap. At 9:30 I picked up Tammy to lie down with her, and she slept on me for an hour. However, Emmy had a hard time falling asleep, and I finally asked Randy to get him out of bed instead of having him continue to cry. They went downstairs, and when Tammy woke up, as well as Sammy, I took the two of them downstairs as well. Instead of going back to bed, I stayed with them for 40 minutes, until 11:10, while Randy had stuff to do. Once he was back, I finally got to go back to bed. Until Randy woke me up to feed them.

We fed them at 12:30, and as Emmy was pretty tired and hadn't slept yet, he was the only one going to bed after the meal. I was very tired myself, and lay down together with him at 1 pm. Emmy fell asleep on me fast; he doesn't get to sleep on me often, as I always lie down with the girl, who can't fall asleep on her own, while Emmy usually does. He slept on me for 70 minutes, and then we went downstairs to join the others.

Daddy was pretty tired as well, lying down with Sammy, with Tammy playing closeby. Emmy happily joined in. A few minutes later, at 2:30, we decided to feed them their afternoon meal. Then it was bedtime for Tammy and Sammy. Daddy stayed downstairs with Emmy, while Sammy went to bed, and I lay down with Tammy. I had quickly made myself a sandwich that I took to bed with me to eat once she was asleep. And she fell asleep pretty fast. Sammy, however, had a really hard time and was crying instead of sleeping, so Randy got him and took him downstairs as well.

We never let them sleep later than 4 pm, so they fall asleep at night, and Tammy woke up by herself just a few minutes before 4. We went downstairs to join the boys and play, and had fun. Emmy and Tammy have now figured out how to open drawers and enjoy doing so. Time to childprove all the drawers! The ones you see in the picture are empty.

Emmy was pretty cranky again, as he is when he's tired, but Mommy knows how to make him laugh to distract him, so he kept me busy. Tammy was happy playing, and Sammy was busy with some toys.

After talking to the doctor, we thought we should push their bedtime to later, but for the second day it stayed the some, just because they were so tired. Sammy hadn't slept since the morning, and Emmy had slept after lunch. So I went upstairs at the regular time of 4:30 to make their food, and we fed them at 5 pm. I feed them as long as possible in their high chairs, but then comes the point where they refuse, and I let them out, and they happily eat the rest while running around. And they are getting faster now!

Then it was bathtub time, and bedtime. I'm on a mission to get Tammy to fall asleep by herself at night, like her brothers, without me having to sit next to her bed until she falls asleep. So tonight I again walked away right away. Of course she started crying, and crying hard. However, me NOT being there helps Emmy to sleep. I stayed away for a while, listening to her screaming, and finally returned. Emmy was asleep, and Tammy so tired by then that it didn't take her long to fall asleep as well. Not a bad strategy, so I'll keep doing this.

Cooking, eating, office work, and probably going to bed late again, but at least I'm getting things done. True, looking back at today, it seems like I spent most of the day in bed with a baby, but I'd rather give them all my time, and that way I can be tired and get some sleep/rest myself, and work at night.
