HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I went to bed around 3:30 and got up at 8:50, made their food, fed them, and put them to bed. Nobody was falling asleep. At 10:30 I picked up Tammy and then Emmy, trying to get them to sleep, but without success, so they all went downstairs. I went back to bed and got back up to feed them lunch at 12:30, and then we put them to bed again at 1 pm, as they were pretty tired by then. Tammy fell asleep so fast that I was shocked. Emmy was crying, so after 10 minutes, I picked him up and lay down with him to get him to sleep. However, he seemed wide awake, and so I put him back into bed after 10 minutes. He did NOT like that at all. After another 10 minutes, at 1:30, I gave him another chance and lay back down with him, and this time he slept, but just for 40 minutes. They have all been sleeping shorter recently.
We got back up, and I let Emmy walk around, while I got my food ready; I hadn't eaten anything at all yet. Sammy was awake too, and so I picked him up. Emmy grabbed a thermos bottle, walking around with it, and as he loves everything that makes noise, he was dropping it and hitting the floor with it. Well, he did that a little too close to their bedroom and woke Tammy up. It was 2:25. So we took them all downstairs, and I finally got to eat.
3 pm came fast, the time for their next meal, and so we took them back upstairs to eat, fed them, and then went back downstairs to play. I stayed with them, while Randy was sterilizing baby bottles which he does every 3 days. I had three items all three of them wanted, especially Emmy who was determined to get a hold of them: my tea cup full of hot tea, the camera, and my phone. You should have seen me, trying to move three items I needed out of reach of three determined babies! It was not easy! I did spill some tea, and they got a hold of the phone and camera cord a few times. Once the tea cup was empty, I gave up the fight. Emmy was the happiest boy when he finally held the tea cup in his hand! And before I knew it, Tammy had the teabag in her hand and was tearing it apart, with the tea leaves everywhere!
Sammy left us, crawling all the way to the house and tunnel, then turning onto his back and pulling it on top of himself and then over, so that he was on the other side (videos uploaded). Emmy even crawled inside while he was under there. Sammy has done this many times, I guess he likes it. Both Tammy and Emmy were pretty tired, and I had to swing them and put them upside down to keep them happy.
At 4:30 Randy relieved me so I could go get their dinner, bathtub and beds ready. At 5 pm we took them upstairs to feed them. Tonight Tammy and Emmy did not eat much, and Tammy was mashing all her food up again, having both her hands in there, so she was too dirty to walk around and eat that way, which is how they usually finish their food. They went both straight into the bathtub, and Sammy came in right after them. We gave them their toothbrushes, helping them brush their teeth, but they sure prefer having the other end in their mouth. Sammy did the best job, having the correct end in his mouth. In this picture below, he looks just like his brother and could be mistaken for him! They are identical twins after all, and sometimes you can really see it.
Sammy went to bed first, then Emmy and then Tammy. You'd think they'd fall asleep fast again, as their nap was earlier then usual. At first Emmy was getting up and not sleeping, but then he lay down. and then it was Tammy who kept checking to see whether I was still there and needed a little time to fall asleep, but it wasn't as long as it usual takes.
Then it was time to cook, eat, and start office work. I've been gathering stuff that needs to be packed into our suitcases for Mali, but so far Randy hasn't started packing yet. And in a few days Austria is going into a hard lockdown until December 6th (we leave on the 9th), but nothing really changes for us anyway, as we're pretty much home all the time.
It's after 2 am, and I still have some time to work until my bedtime.
