Last night I went to bed earlier, something like 1 am, and it was nice, even though I did have to get up and feed a baby before Randy's shift starts at 4 am. It was still hard to get up at 8:50 to make their food. However, to my greatest surprise I found Randy making their milk that they get first thing after waking up. Then I remembered that I had heard babies cry repeatedly over the past few hours, and Randy always said he'd wait to see whether they'd fall asleep, and they did. Now it was 8:50 and they were only just getting up, and all still in their pj's! That was a first.

So while Randy was taking their pj's off and putting new diapers on, I was making their now-breakfast, and then we fed them. They weren't any more hungry than usual. Obviously they were not going back to bed after that but went downstairs to play. I stayed with them there until Randy came down with his breakfast, and then went back to bed. I was curious how late it would be before they'd get tired.

At 10:45 Randy was bringing them upstairs to put them to bed for their morning nap. Half an hour later I finally picked up a crying Tammy to lie down with her, and it took her nearly half an hour to fall asleep. Emmy fell asleep but got woken up by Amazon ringing the door bell - twice - and Randy rocked him on and off, as he was able. So Emmy did not get much sleep. Sammy was just crying and crying, and I'm not sure he ever slept. I finally shouted to Randy to just feed him his lunch and put him to bed after. So Randy put Emmy down and started feeding Emmy just before noon, then put his clothes on that I had already picked, and put him to bed fully dressed, ready to just be put into the stroller when we'd leave.

I had decided to get up with Tammy at 12:15 so we'd have enough time to feed her and leave on time, and that's what I did. I fed both Tammy and Emmy at the same time (Sammy was sleeping thankfully), and then Randy dressed them while I was getting everything and myself ready. Sammy woke up by himself just before we had to leave, and we all left on time at 1 pm.

And we got to the hospital early. We now have to walk through a container where they measure our temperature and give us hand sanitizer and a ticket that proves we have been checked that we have to hand in when we enter the hospital building.

We went to the waiting room, where we let them all out of the strollers. Tammy and Emmy enjoyed the wall game, while Randy held Sammy. When the physiotherapist arrived, she took us to a different room today, where there were more appropriate toys for kids that can walk. Like this arched ladder that Tammy actually climbed up on pretty well. The therapist commented on how Tammy is the farthest, that she can see how secure she is in walking, more than her brother. Tammy definitely climbs better. I let them climb up the stairs at home with me more and more often now, when we go upstairs to eat, and she climbs up fast, while Emmy is a little slower and taking breaks.

But we were there for Sammy. She worked with him on practicing sitting, and put him on the trampoling, which he kind of liked. She commented on how he's been whining a lot recently, wanting Mom or Dad rather than her. I think he did great today, and didn't really whine THAT much, or much more than he always does.

At one time I was sitting on the trampolin, and all three kids, on and off, were on it, and I was making it jump, and they all loved it.

Emmy was of course exploring the whole room, as always, and going into the farthest corners, trying to find the limits and check it all out. Tammy was the fearless girl she always is, climbing up and down the trampolin and everything else, and one time she fell and hit her head and cried, but Daddy was right there comfort her, and it did not stop her, as she immediately went back to climbing. To summarize it all, we had lots of fun.

The therapist told me today what she had told Randy, when he was there with Sammy by himself. She'd like for Sammy to get a special chair that helps him sit and holds his head up, so he'll be more included when playing and has an easier time eating. She's also considering a leg brace for him while he sleeps, because he always flexes his feet, and told us to observe if they are flexed when he's sleeping.

We left there at 3 pm, and as I had expected, Emmy fell asleep in the stroller on the way home; he had needed it! It was 4 pm before we got home, nearly time to get dinner ready. I had not had time to cook before leaving today, and we had just grabbed some quick snacks, so Randy got something to eat, while I stayed downstairs with them and had fun with them. Just after 4:30 Randy switched with me so I could get their food ready; they were getting tired and cranky, and Randy was impatient for us to start feeding them, which we did after 5 pm. Even though they had skipped their afternoon meal and had milk while away, they ate very little. Tammy made a big mess again, putting her whole hand into the food and mashing everything up, and even throwing it on the floor. They went straight into the bathtub again, instead of running around eating on the go.

All three enjoyed the water (it's a shame swimming pools are closed), and then I put them to bed, first Sammy, then Emmy, and then Tammy. As I had not weighed Tammy last night, I did today. The boys had had the exact same weight as last week yesterday; unfortunately the paper I wrote her weight on became a victim of cleanup.

Not having had their afternoon nap, it was a blessing that they all fell asleep fast tonight, which freed me up earlier than usual to leave them and go get my own food ready, and then start working after having eaten. Now it's already after 2 am, so I'm back to my usual going to bed time.
