I crawled out of bed at 8:50, made their food, and we fed them, then put them all down for their morning nap. The boys fell asleep, Sammy right away, and Emmy eventually, and I picked up Tammy to lie down with her at 9:45, and it took me until 10 before she actually fell asleep. Emmy always wakes up after half an hour, and Randy sat down with him to rock him back to sleep. At 10:45 Sammy started crying, and as we were both tied down with sleeping babies, we couldn't do anything. He woke up his siblings, and so they were all up at that time and went downstairs.

I went back to bed and slept great, until 12:30. Ten minutes later we started feeding them their lunch meal, then they went downstairs and I started cooking for the adults. Our friend Sonja arrived a little later, and the three of us ate at 2 pm.

Twenty minutes later we put them all to bed for their afternoon nap. I got the boys to fall asleep, and tried hard to get Tammy to sleep in her bed, even thought I was close to succeeding. I was hoping to get things done, but it wasn't meant to be. At 2:45 I picked her up and lay down with her, and Emmy's thirty minutes were up a few minutes later, and so Randy sat down to rock him back to sleep. At 3:10 Sammy started crying, and again, we had sleeping babies on us. Thankfully Sonja was here, and she picked up Sammy and tried to feed him his afternoon meal, with limited success. He was crying really hard, and I felt bad that we couldn't do anything about it. However, him being downstairs with Sonja allowed his siblings to keep sleeping, and they both slept until 4 pm, which is when I got up with Tammy and woke the boys up. Emmy hasn't slept this long in a long time!

We all went downstairs, but I didn't stay long, though I was holding Sammy. He hadn't slept that long, so I was planning to feed him at the regular time, even though Randy had just fed him the rest of his afternoon meal. Randy took Sammy, and I went upstairs to prepare their evening meal. Randy then started feeding him at 5 pm, while Sonja was playing with the other two downstairs, and I got everything ready for bedtime. After Sammy was done, I bathed him and put him to bed.

I wanted to make sure the other two were hungry and tired before bringing them upstairs to eat; I didn't look at the clock, but it was some time between 5:30 and 6 pm. I fed Tammy, and Sonja Emma, before she left us to go home. They can both now say "ba-ba" (bye-bye) and wave, which is so cute! I put them both into the bathtub where they had lots of fun, before taking a protesting Emmy out to put him to bed, and Tammy following.

I figured it would take them a while to fall asleep, having had a long nap, but it seemed like they were pretty tired. In the end, it DID take them a long time anyway, and they both ended up getting milk. It's always hard, because Emmy needs me to walk away, while Tammy needs me to be there. The last time I walked away, they were both protesting, but that time they quieted down and fell asleep without me having to return. Thank God!

I've got everything done that I HAVE to do every night, and as tired as I am, I'll be going to bed shortly, even though it's not even midnight. I guess the short nights are catching up with me. By the way, this picture of Sammy at dinner time is the only one of the day.
