It's 10 pm, and I've been so tired all day that I'm determined to go to bed earlier tonight. For the second night in a row I went to bed really late last night. I was in such a flow with office work that I did not want to stop. At 3:45 I was heading to bed; and then it took me an hour to actually fall asleep. Sigh.

So after 4 hours of sleep I had to get up, make their food, and feed them. Then we put them all to bed. It usually takes them a while to fall asleep, if at all, and the boys do, but not the girl. After over an hour, at 10:30, I got up and picked her up and lay back down with her. The boys were both asleep. It took her a little bit, but then she fell asleep and slept from 10:45 till noon. I took her downstairs to the boys, put their food into the warmer, and went back to bed, where I got to sleep another half hour before getting up for good.

It was already 12:50 when we started feeding them, rather late. I was really thankful when our friend Sonja arrived a few minutes later to help, and she took over feeding Emmy, while I was feeding his sister. After their meal, they went downstairs to play, and I went back to bed. I was just SO tired!!! I was not up to doing anything at all. I actually fell asleep again. And then Randy woke me up when he brought me a plate with an omelet. That was really nice, even though I just wanted to sleep.

As they had eaten lunch late, their next meal was gonna be later too. I could hear especially Emmy, who had already been tired at lunch. 2:30 was their afternoon nap time and so we put the boys to bed. Sammy cried for a while but then fell asleep. I lay down with Emmy who fell asleep on me. Tammy was downstairs with Sonja. At 3 pm she fed her, and then she brought her upstairs for her nap. As you can't just put her into her bed and expect her to sleep - she just screams - I got up with Emmy, hoping I could put him to bed, but he woke up and cried as well. Thankfully Randy was available and sat down in the rocking chair with Emmy to rock him back to sleep. The boys would eat after waking up, which was not much later. It was 3:15 pm, when I lay down with Tammy. I tried and tried, but could not get her to sleep, so I finally got up and took her back downstairs. It was already nearly 4 pm and time for me to get ready to leave. I had pretty much been in bed and at the dining room table all day long, and was still so very tired. I gave Randy instructions for dinner and bed time, as I had never missed them before and am usually the one putting them to bed, and making dinner. He didn't follow all my directions, but did pretty well.

I left at 4:15 pm and took a subway and a tram. I was so tired I just had my eyes closed. I got to the hairdresser's at 5 pm, and stayed there for over 90 minutes, getting my hair dyed and cut again. It was so needed, and now I'll look pretty for our photoshoot tomorrow, on their biological first birthday. Pretty much all our talking was about babies, as she had a baby that was just a few months older than ours.

It was dark when I left there and took the tram and subway back home. But I took an additional stop to go to the grocery store; something I never do anymore as Randy does the shopping. I quickly grabbed a few items I needed and/or never get, and then walked home from there, which took me only a few minutes. I was home before 8 pm, which is when the curfew starts. Thankfully I found the babies all asleep. My first time away at bedtime since our anniversary 8 months ago!

Cooking, eating, office work, and no pictures today!
