HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Today is all Sammy's day, even though I have great pictures of the others that make for really funny stories (go to "The Wilson Triplets" see them). Sammy turned over and crawled more than we've ever seen him do. I captured a little of it on this short video clip. Way to go, Sammy!
This morning I was in the same dilemma as usual for nap time. I take one baby and the other or others cry and want to also lie down with me. I switched babies a few times, and in the end, Sammy slept on me for a short time, but the other two never slept, as far as I'm aware of. I think it's time to go to one nap a day, instead of two.
I went back to bed by mself, and the alarm let me know when it was time to get up and feed them their lunch meal. After they had been fed, I cooked for us while Randy stayed with them. After eating ourselves, Randy went upstairs and I stayed with them, and to my amazement all three played happily for a while, without needing me. If only that could be a more frequent occurrence!
After a while I noticed that Emmy was getting really cranky because he was tired, and so I lay down with him, and this time he fell asleep. He slept about 45 minutes on me.
Then we went back downstairs, and it was already time for the next meal. We fed them, and then I was hoping to get some much-needed office work done, even though Randy had already been watching and playing with the kids most of the day. Thank God he's retired and can do that! And the babies love having their Daddy with them and will undoubtedly have a very special relationship with him. I was thankful too, as I got some office work done, but also a little jealous that I was not the one to play with them.
After lunch Tammy was really cranky for a while (she might be getting another tooth, as there are some signs for that), but later that subsided, and they were all playing happily. Randy played with them and helped them out. Like when Tammy (and Emmy) walked around with the cart and had trouble with the curves. And then Emmy conquered the dinosaur to protect his siblings. I noticed that Emmy was the hero of most events and pictures today.
Sammy and Tammy never had another nap, which amazed me, especially that Tammy was not getting extremely tired and cranky like she usually is.
Before 5 pm I went into the kitchen to prepare their dinner meal, which takes time. Today I made them scrambled eggs for the first time, to accompany their bread with cream cheese and fruit. They loved it and ate it all! In fact, they ate really well tonight. Emmy and Tammy ate EVERYTHING in their bowls, and Emmy even stayed in his seat for a long time. He did get the rest of his food while walking around and exploring.
He actually got a hold of the paper towels and I have some priceless pictures and captions. Once Tammy joined him, she also ripped some towels off to clean the house. Emmy wasn't so sure any more whether he really wanted to clean and rather preferred to return the towels to me.
Then it was bed time, and all three fell asleep pretty fast. I know I've said this before, but I'm just so glad it's so easy now, as it had been so very hard for so long!
And once they sleep, we get to cook and eat our dinner, and then I get to do office work. I do notice, though, that sometimes I'm just too tired to do certain things this late in the day.
