HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I went to bed later than I had wanted, and was really tired in the morning. I'm trying to remember this morning; I just know that I kept getting woken up by crying babies, and getting up to comfort babies. When the alarm went off at 8:50 to make their breakfast, it was really tough getting up. We fed them, and then it was nap time. The boys were sleeping in their beds, and I lay down with Tammy. After she woke up, I took her down to Randy and lay back down. Again the alarm woke me, this time at 11:25, and I was so tired I did not want to get up, but I had to. It was time to get their lunch ready, and feed them. We fed them downstairs, and I fed one after another, holding them in my arm, which is easier than running after them moving around trying to put the spoon into their mouths.
Then I went to the kitchen to cook, and Randy stayed with them. Emmy was pretty cranky all day. He just wanted me to hold him the whole time; I couldn't even set him down! I really wanted to get some work done, but only had a few minutes where I was actually able to do so.
They were so very tired that we decided to change the schedule and put them down for their afternoon nap early; it was around 1:30 pm. The boys fell asleep in their beds right away, and so did Tammy on my chest. Emmy only slept a few minutes, though. When I heard him cry, I decided to get up and put Tammy into her bed and lay down with Emmy. Thankfully Tammy continued sleeping, and she slept for about 2 hours, which is unusually long. Emmy however was not ready to sleep any more. When I realized that, I took him downstairs to play. I fed him his afternoon meal at the regular time, and then went upstairs to lay down with him. This time he was tired and fell asleep on me. While he was sleeping on me, Tammy woke up, and when Randy changed her right outside our bedroom door (and she always cries when we do), she woke up Emmy, so we all went downstairs. I fed Tammy her meal, and then it was play time. One of the most fun things to do is to tear up a paper! When we're using public transportation, it's always a sure way to keep Emmy happy, to hand him the free subway paper.
Even though the temperatures have dropped now, I thought it might be nice for them to go outside for a little. So (instead of working) I got some warm clothes to put on them, and we went outside our downstairs door. It wasn't actually as cold as yesterday. As they were rather cranky, Emmy didn't really care to push or sit on the car, so I ended up putting Tammy on the tricycle with the long handle, where I could push her easily. We sure did a lot of rounds, and though she looked serious, she really enjoyed it and did not like it when I stopped.
Randy held Sammy, and then picked up cranky Emmy as well, which is when this cute picture was taken. I forgot to tell you about Sammy yesterday, that he is now turning over more and more, and crawling more and more. When I put him to bed and he's not that tired, he always turns over onto his back, and I have to keep turning him onto his belly until he finally falls asleep. Yesterday I had another baby and saw that Sammy was on his back, and he can't sleep on his back. So when Randy came by a little later, I asked him to turn him over, but he was already on his belly! That's the first time he had turned over by himself in his bed! Way to go, Sammy!
Before I knew it it was 4:30 and time to make their dinner. No time for office work again. It takes me a while to cut all the food up. We took them upstairs to the dining room table and fed them. They all ate pretty much everything. Emmy is always the first to want out of his chair - even before he is done eating - and he loves to explore the upstairs. Tammy came out after she was done, and together they crawled everywhere, pulling stuff off the lower shelves. Like their bath toys in the bathroom. I was changing Sammy and getting him ready to bed, then handed him to Randy to give him milk, while I went on to getting Emmy ready, and then Tammy. For the first time this fall I also put them into a sleeping bag, so we could keep our balcony door open a little and have it cooler in the room. Tammy and Emmy then got their milk bottle in bed, and Samym went to bed after he was done drinking. Well, none of them seemed very tired at first, and so it took a while, with Tammy being the last one to finally fall asleep.
Then it was time to prepare and eat our dinner, and then I finally got to start doing office work. There's so much to do, but I'm still hoping to go to bed earlier tonight than I did last night.
