HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night I went to bed after 2:30 am, but it always takes me a while to fall asleep. I woke up when babies were crying and Randy took care of them, but fell asleep again fast. I was so very tired when the alarm rang at 8:50 and I had to get up to make their food. We fed them, and then put them down for nap time. I guess we're in between 1 and 2 naps a day; 9:15 is too early for them (only Sammy fell asleep right away), and 12 is too late. Tammy never slept, but I got Emmy to sleep on me for a while. When he woke up, he joined Randy and the others, and I went back to bed.
At 11:26 my second alarm went off, and again I was so tired I didn't want to get up, but I had to. I made their food, and then we fed them downstairs. As Tammy hadn't slept yet and was tired, I went upstairs with her to lie down. She fell asleep fast. After a few minutes I put her into her own bed where she continued sleeping. Even though I wanted to crawl back into bed, I went to the kitchen to cook for us. By the time I was done cooking and ready to sit down to eat - just before 2 pm - a new friend from church arrived to help out for 3 hours.
It was amazing how fast she won the babies over. Even Sammy never even cried with her. They had so much fun! It allowed Randy and me to do some other things, though time goes by so fast and so little gets done.
As it was a warmer day, Tammy and Emmy went outside our door to drive up and down for a while. Emmy prefered being pushed than being the one pushing! Our nextdoor neighbor was outside and told me she had some toys she'd like to get rid of and so we said we'd come over to see them after the babies were sleeping, which we did. She had some GREAT stuff and just wanted to get rid of it, though we did give her a little money. It was a great opportunity to see what they had done to the same apartment (they do have an extra room we don't have), and I finally invited them over for coffee and cake on another weekend. They have a 2 and 4-year-old and are really nice.
At 2:30 the three of us fed the babies, and then I lay down with Emmy for his afternoon and he fell asleep fast. Sammy was sleeping in his bed, and Tammy was playing with our visitor. At 4 pm I got up with Emmy who had slept about an hour, as that's the cutoff time for them to be able to fall asleep at night. We played for another half hour, before I went to the kitchen to get their dinner ready. A few minutes later our friend had to leave.
At 5 pm we fed them at the dinner table, and then I followed them around to put food into their mouths and they finished it all. Randy was changing Sammy in the meantime and then giving him his milk, before I first took care of Emmy and then Tammy. They were all tired. Tammy fell asleep faster tonight than Emmy; probably because he had slept until 4 pm. Not long after 6 pm they were all asleep and we could go to the neighbors - with the baby cam video on my phone.
Then the typical routine of cleaning up the kitchen, cooking, eating, and then office work. It's a little earlier tonight, and I still hope to get a lot done. Randy is already in bed, earlier than usual.
