13 months 12 days

I never get much sleep, but last night my sleep got interrupted more than has been the case in a long time, and I felt it. I don't even remember all the details. At 8:50 I got up to make their food and feed them, then I lay back down in bed. I didn't get to sleep long before Randy dropped Sammy on my chest, because he was tired. Now it's very hard to make Sammy sleep on my chest. I put him into his bed nextdoors, and he fell asleep. 45 minutes I was awake again, when he woke up. I shouted to Randy to come get him, but he didn't, so I had to take him downstairs and handed him to Randy. Tammy and Emmy had fallen asleep right next to him, and when I came with Sammy, they woke up. It was 10:30 am. I guess we need to go back to 2 naps a day, if they can't wait till noon to sleep. In fact I just read about 11-month-old babies (which they are), and it said that they need two naps.

I had less than an hour to get more sleep. Then I got up to make their lunch and we fed them. We did keep the nap after lunch routine and put them into their beds. I lay down with Tammy, and once she was asleep, I put her into her own bed, as Emmy was crying. Thankfully she continued sleeping. I then lay down with Emmy, who slept about an hour on me, and I got some more sleep too. Of course this was the time when I usually cook for us. I did it after getting up, and so I only got to eat my first meal at 2:30 pm, after feeding the babies their afternoon meal.

Randy ate his meal with the babies, as I was still cooking mine, and they are always highly interested in his food. The first picture shows him trying to get his plate out of reach.

What was really funny and I don't have a picture of, is when we fed them on the couch (their 9 am and 2:15 pm meal). Normally Randy feeds Sammy, and I feed the other two. But those two can never sit still, they have to move around. It was hilarous how we all fed all three together. Randy gave food to Sammy and whoever was close-by, and since I sat next to Sammy, I gave food to him and whoever was close-by. A video wouuld have been great.

We spent some time playing with the babies, walking, and I was holding Sammy who wanted me to hold him, and he was in the swing next to me for a little bit. I gave him his birthday card to play with and he loved it so much, he took a bite out of it! I had to remove the paper from his mouth!

At 4:30 pm I went upstairs to prepare their dinner food; bread with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, strawberries, raspberries, banana, apple and cantaloupe. It took a while, usually about half an hour. Then we took them all upstairs and fed them. Once Emmy wants out of the chair, and a little later Tammy, I have to run after them and put the food into their mouth. It's like exercise! In any case, in the end their bowls were empty. Sammy ate very little tonight.

I then changed them, put their pj's on, prayed over them, put them into their sleeping bags and handed them the bottle of milk. They were tired. The boys fell asleep right away, and the girl didn't need that long either. After a little while I was able to go tidy up and clean the kitchen, and prepare my own dinner. Randy was at the grocery store.

I'm praying I get more sleep tonight; tomorrow we're going swimming again.
