HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night it was 3 before I made it to bed, later than usual. I got up before 9 am to make their cereal with milk, and we fed them. Normally I go to bed after that, but I stayed with the babies for a while, while Randy changed them all. I did get a little more sleep until the alarm woke me at 11:30 (actually Randy woke me up a few minutes early). We fed them their lunch meal, and then it was nap time. Yesterday (the first day with this schedule) it had been so easy, but not today. The girl and Sammy fell asleep just fine, but Emmy wanted to be held. When we couldn't get him to fall asleep in his bed, Randy rocked him to sleep and then put him into his bed. I had already started cooking for us in the meantime.
I had just started eating my meal, when our friend Sonja arrived to help. Emmy had just woken up already (after less than an hour), and he woke up Sammy, so both boys were downstairs, and happy to see Sonja. I finished eating and started doing office work. Tammy woke up after over 90 minutes and joined the others downstairs. She was really cranky all afternoon. We fed them just after 2 pm, and it was great having a third person to do so.
Emmy was really tired by then, and so I decided to lie down with him. He ended up sleeping on me for an hour, while I was doing stuff on my phone.
He then rejoined the others, and they were all playing hard; in their tunnel and house and walking and with the many other toys they have. Sammy continued turning over and crawling. When he got cranky, I held him and did office work with one hand, and then he let me put him in the swing next to me for a while.
At 4:30 pm I went upstairs to prepare their dinner meal. Tonight I gave them tiny pieces of steak for the first time; they had the usual bread with cream cheese and strawberries, raspberries, apples and bananas with that. Again, it was so helpful to have Sonja with us. By then Tammy was so very tired, she was just crying. I had to switch babies and hold her to feed her, and she would not even let me sit down, so I had to feed her standing up with her in my arms. To my amazement she did eat all her food.
Then she and Emmy went into the bathtub to play, and I bathed Sammy in there as well. That's also when we get the toothbrushes out. Look at the picture of Tammy brushing her teeth all by herself! 😉
I got Sammy out, put his pj's on and sleeping bag, prayed over him, and handed him to Randy to give him his milk. Usually Emmy goes next, but for some reason Tammy came out of the bathtub next. That was not smart, as she needs help holding her milk and falling asleep, and Emmy usually doesn't. While I was getting Emmy ready, I could hear her cry. Thankfully Sonja was still here to help. When I was done with Emmy, I put him to bed with his bottle, and then put Sammy to bed. It seemed that everybody was asleep fast and fine!
But only for a few minutes. Just as Sonja was going out the door, Emmy started crying. He threw a fit, as he wanted me to pick him up, but I wouldn't do it. I stroked his head and held him down, and he FINALLY gave in and fell asleep. He already woke back up at 8:30 pm, and I gave him some milk, and then just over an hour later again. Tammy woke up then as well, crying, and had her milk. Sammy is still sleeping.
I got to write this earlier tonight (fewer pictures to go through), and so I'm hopeful to still get a lot done.
Today Tammy weighed 9 kilos, Emmy 8.2 kilos and Sammy 6.9 kilos.
