HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I told you I had a plan to wean the boys off milk during the night. Last night I reduced the amount I fed them, and I did not wait for them to wake up screaming, but I picked them up around midnight and fed them in their sleep. I just did it again tonight, reducing their milk further. Emmy complained a little, but then simply continued sleeping. The advantage is that they never wake up when you dream-feed them, and they won't wake up hungry. In fact, Emmy did NOT wake up two afters later last night, but only at 5 am when it's time to get up.
This morning I had to get up early once again, as it was the previous to last time of going baby swimming. Today I had Sammy, Randy had Emmy, and my Mom Tammy. Sammy did really good today. They are all making progress clearly. If we can sign up for another class in our new neighborhood, I think they'd soon be swimming. Today they even slid down a little water slide into the water! So far they don't like that much yet.
All three slept in the stroller on the way home. Swimming wears you out! Once home we fed them, and then our friends already arrived, all the way from Upper Austria (again). It was a family with three kids who all loved the babies, and Mom and children kept them busy all afternoon, wearing them out in a good way. They enjoyed the attention, and being out of their bed for most of the time. They did get tired, and they did want Mommy at times. Sammy took his nap first, as is often the case, sleeping in the back room away from anyone. Tammy and Emmy were also getting really tired, but were still playing hard. Emmy is our happy boy. He loves to laugh, and he was laughing so hard today. You've got to watch the video. He thought it was the funniest thing in the world to keep dropping his water bottle, or maybe he was laughing that these adults would keep giving it back to him. Let's hope his siblings won't get any ideas! He did NOT like the idea of going to the new apartment in a box. And both him and his sister loved touching the teenager's curly hair.
Sammy also enjoyed the attention, and enjoyed being fed by their Mom, as you can see on the picture.
Emmy finally got so tired that he did not protest being put back into bed and he soon fell asleep. Tammy needed more help and was calling my name. She soon fell asleep on my chest, and I put her in bed with her brother. Sammy then had everyone's attention all to himself.
In the meantime, the Dad and Randy filled their car up with what we've boxed up and did two trips to the apartment and back. Tomorrow we'll stay there for good, so all our kitchen stuff, and all our groceries and fridge content need to go, as well as many other things. Tonight we're continuing packing, and will continue to do so in the morning.
On baby swimming days all their meals are later, as their first meal is after swimming which starts about the time they usually eat. Tammy did not eat much for her second and third meal, so when it was time to go to bed relatively late, and she was very tired, she cried because she was hungry. After I gave her milk, she fell asleep right away without complaints. The boys were gone right away as well. And our friends left just before we put them bed. Their youngest wanted to take Tammy with them, and Tammy even seemed to want to be held by her. It had been a great blessing, and great timing, for them to visit today. I even got to pack some stuff while they were playing with the babies. Let's hope we get some sleep tonight, as tomorrow is gonna be a big day. Our last night in our old home!
