HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
It was an exciting day today. Ever since moving I've been eager for the five of us to be at our new dining room table, the babies in their high chairs, and to feed them at the same time, and to give them "real" food for them to pick up and put into their mouths. Today I got up earlier, so it was finally time, after our restaurant experience last night, where they had been given bread and potatoes.
I had to quickly figure out what to give them and warmed up some frozen peas. We put them each into a high chair, and I was gonna feed Tammy and Emmy, and Randy Sammy. I gave them some peas each. They were playing with them, throwing them on the floor, and occasionally putting into their mouths. So I put a few into their mouths, so they'd know it's food, and they both made a face. They've eaten pea before mixed into the ground up baby food. In any case, it was a lot of fun to watch. And I didn't make them wait long for the baby food.
We did the same for the other two meals, but only the baby food then. It's really easy now to feed Emmy and Tammy; they've been trained well over time, while we were feeding them in our arms. Now they just open their mouths and keep their hands away, so I could just go back and forth between the two, giving them spoonfuls of food.
Sammy is a little harder to feed, as he is not as comfortable in the high chair, and his hands do get in the way.
After their first meal, and after we had eaten, I sat down with them in their play area. Sammy got tired first, and I put him in the his former bed, the little one, that is now downstairs to use during the day. Tammy and Emmy were also getting tired, and Emmy fell asleep first, then Tammy. I myself nearly fell asleep with them.
Later in the afternoon, Randy started working on the fan and light in the living room. I was at my desk, trying to work, but Sammy was a little cranky, so I put him in the swing next to me. When Randy drilled into the concrete ceiling, the babies freaked out! I got Sammy out of the swing, and joined the other two crying babies in their play area. I made sure they were all really close to me before Randy drilled the next whole. Again, they totally freaked out! It was loud, yes, but I don't know what it was THAT scary. I had to calm them down and was glad when Randy was done.
It was soon dinner time after that. After their meal, I changed them and put them to bed. I turned on Bethel worship music, and was amazed when Tammy went straight into sleeping position, even though it was only about 6 pm. She did raise up a few times, got up and cried, but when I stayed to stroke her head for a while, she fell asleep fast. Emmy fell asleep right away. Sammy had the hardest time of them all. It seems that he prefers NOT having music on. I had to turn him back on his belly a few times before he went to sleep.
I was amazed when it was 6:15 and Sammy was the last one on his way to lala land. However, at 7 Emmy woke back up, and it took me a long time to help him fall back asleep. One time it was Randy drilling downstairs that woke him back up, and another time the door bell. And every time I'd walk away, he was up again. It took me about an hour before I could finally walk away for good.
It was time to make dinner and eat! Randy was so tired, he decided to not do any more shelves or the likes and went to bed at a decent time. And I got to work, catching up on much-needed office work. It's their birthday on Tuesday, and there is still a lot we'd like to accomplish by then!
