HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I set my alarm today, as we had to make sure we'd leave the house at 1 pm. It was hard getting up. We went through our usual routine of feeding them, me cooking for us, then eating, and then we can go. We left a little later, but did get there just in time.
Another week, another physiotherapy session. Sammy did really well today, he never got cranky. Even though his nap had been cut short, as we had to wake him up at home when we left. The other two slept in the stroller on the way to the hospital. Anyway, today Sammy crawled up an incline (with help), and then rolled down, actually being able to turn over by himself that way.
The other two had a lot of fun as always. They went everywhere, over and under and up and down, had every toy in their hands. I was excited to see this push cart, as I had just read how good that is for them when they are just about to start learning to walk. Tammy was actually able to take a few steps with it! Emmy could not do that yet.
The hour went by fast. Our friend Melanie met us outside and went home with us. It's three subways we have to take now and seems rather ardous compared to before, having to get to the elevators, waiting for them, etc.
We finally made it home, where it was high time to feed them their second meal. They'd had plenty of milk, and it was late enough to consider skipping it; they did not eat much either.
Sammy was very tired as he had not slept since before leaving the house. It was already after 4 pm, but I still let him sleep for nearly 2 hours, until it was time for dinner and bed. While he was sleeping, Tammy and Emmy had fun with Melanie, as you can tell from the pictures. And Mommy and Daddy were busy working as much as possible while the babies were taken care of.
Randy put the last baby bed together so that they now all have decent beds they'll be able to use for a while. The space is a little tight, but I was able to make it work. This picture shows them all asleep in them.
We fed Emmy and Tammy at 6 pm, while Randy was still working on finishing the bed. They were both pretty tired. I put Emmy in bed, but Randy working next to him kept him up. When he had finished the bed, Tammy was put to bed as well. I woke up Sammy to feed him and put him back in bed. Well, all three were up. Sammy wasn't tired, and the other two were crying because they were. Surprisingly Tammy went to sleep first (again). And Emmy was still crying. Sammy kept turning onto his back, and playing, and was content.
Well, they kept me pretty busy tonight. Emmy finally went to sleep, but then Tammy woke up crying. She was hysterical. She wouldn't drink milk, and wouldn't be comforted. Randy ended up sitting down and holding her, and she fell asleep on him. I later put her into her bed, and Randy continued his nap a little longer. I'm glad he got a nap again, first time in a while.
Sammy finally went to sleep after I gave him milk, and next time Tammy woke up, she had milk as well. I also dream-fed the boys after 1 am, so now I should be able to go to bed and not have to feed them again until the end of my shift at 4 am.
Tomorrow I have to get up "early" as I have an appointment, so it's gonna be a short night already.
