HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I was gonna go to bed earlier last night, but barely in bed, a baby started crying and I had to feed it, so it was around 4 am again. This morning I was so tired, and now that the babies are downstairs, I don't hear them as much as I did in the old apartment, especially with the bedroom doors closed, so I was surpised when it was 12:30 when I looked at my phone. Randy had fed them their lunch meal all by himself! How sweet of him to let me sleep!
Not only that, then he cooked his famous omelets for both of us! The babies were actually happy to be by themselves in their play area, while he was cooking, and I was so tired, I just stayed in bed, and even ate my omelet in bed. Randy definitely deserves a medal for this morning, as he does not get enough sleep either.
But then I did have to get up at some point, hard or not. I had stuff to do, and was determined to get the German newsletter translated somehow. I spent much of my afternoon in the play area, though, and only a little time at the computer. At least there are times now, when you can leave them alone in there. When I took the first picture, they were all playing happily and separately. They could see me at my desk and I made eye-contact with them from time to time.
Sammy always gets tired first, and we take him upstairs to his little bed. But it's time he gets a decent bed as well! The big bed they had in the old place, will now be the original two beds, and today Randy put one of them together that Emmy now sleeps in, so we don't need the little one any more. Sammy now sleeps in Emmy's previous bed, which is a little smaller than the new one. I took this picture tonight, when they were all sleeping.
While Sammy was sleeping, the others were still playing but getting tired. They get so cranky until they finally take a nap, but only if you're there to help them. I had Tammy on my left and Emmy on my right, where they fell asleep. I was even able to get at some point, but they never sleep long after that, as they're up as soon as they realize you're not there any more.
I got up to get Sammy and feed him his second meal, and Randy finished feeding him, as he gets more food into him, and he wants him to gain more weight. I then fed Emmy and Tammy at the same time again.
Sammy is the first one to get hungry usually, and already two hours after the second meal does he want his dinner, which was at 5 pm today and most days. Randy fed him, while I fed the other two at the same time, who were also hungry. Then we went through the going-to-bed ritual, and as Tammy and Emmy went to bed at the same time, they played with each other again for a while, until Emmy lay down to sleep, and it was only Tammy who was left awake. I helped her fall asleep as well, which didn't take too long tonight.
But at 10 pm I spent a while with them, with Tammy and Emmy awake and needing food, and Tammy needed a new diaper bad. Her teeth were hurting - her second one is coming out - and I gave her some cream, but she was hurting too bad to drink milk. So she woke up again a little while later, and then she drank the whole bottle.
My (late) meal had been interrupted a few times, but I finally got back to it and continued translating. Now it'a after 1 am, and I'm still not done. At least the dishes and kitchen are done, but I still have to pick their food for tomorrow. Randy put another shelf together, so the TV wall separating the living room from the guest room is nearly finished now, just one more shelf to go.
And the milestone of today: Tammy was standing without holding on to anything for a moment! And the mats are even rather soft, so it would be harder to do that.
