It's after 1 am, and I'm extremely tired, but I'm gonna push myself to still write today's update.
Last night was very short, and the day was very long. It was around 3 when I made it to bed, and at 7 am Randy woke me up as he was leaving the house and I was the only one with the babies until 9. I took them all downstairs to the play area and sat down with them, and we played. They always take their first nap around 9 am; Sammy fell asleep in the "jungle", and Emmy on my lap. Tammy was just about to fall asleep when the door bell rang because my friends from Upper Austria had arrived to help. Or actually to have fun with the babies. I'm not sure who had more fun, them or the babies!
I was really glad they were there, as I was very tired. The plan was for me to lie down a little, but I still had some work to get done before the first truck load of our furniture was arriving, and so there was no time to sleep. I was so tired I could barely keep my eyes open. Our friends loaded the babies into the strollers and took them for a walk. It was so weird to be home all alone!
The babies returned when the truck arrived and had the greatest time. I could hear them laugh and have fun even while upstairs. I uploaded a great video of Tammy and Emmy laughing as they're throwing stuff out of the play area. I sure hope Tammy is not catching on to what her brother is doing.
The first truck load arrived, and I had to direct our five helpers where to put each item. What a blessing to have so many people come help today! After a while they left again to get the second and last load. In the meantime we fed the babies their lunch meal, and I cooked my meal, and ordered pizza for everyone else. The two big party pizzas and free soda arrived before the truck, but they came soon enough and went straight for the food before unloading as it was already 2:30 pm.
We had a great time chatting during lunch before they unloaded the truck. Then they said their good-byes.
The babies had also had their second meal while the adults were eating, and Sammy got tired first and slept in his bed upstairs. The other two also fell asleep eventually. When they woke up, Sammy was hungry first, and I made their dinner and we fed them.
At 5 pm our friends had to say their good-byes as they had a 2-hour drive back home. I started putting the babies to bed one by one, but they were not tired enough yet. I was the one most tired and could barely keep my eyes open. At 6 pm another friend arrived to stay with us for 3 nights to help. We're blessed! I was so glad she was here, and she helped me trying to get them to sleep. I fed them all some milk, which helped, and thanks to our friend staying with them I could even walk away without them screaming. Eventually they fell asleep, and I was so exhausted I had to lie down for a few minutes. I actually fell asleep and woke up not too long later when I heard Randy and our friend talking. I had to get up and get working again! And make and eat dinner.
Randy also fell asleep while sitting in his chair, but then he put my desk back together that he had taken apart for transport. Our friend also helped with diferent things. They both went to bed pretty early, while I stayed up working. I fed the boys around midnight, and as it's nearly 2 am and I'm barely awake, I'm going to bed now too.
