HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
I was hoping to be able to sleep when I went to bed after 2 am, especially since I would have to get up earlier, but it didn't work out that way. I had to feed Emmy at 3:30 am - an early breakfast!
Randy's shift starts at 4 am, and I help him out when more than one needs attention at one time, as was the case this morning. After he took all three downstairs, I got some more sleep, but the alarm woke me up really early, earlier than usual since we had to add another half hour to make it to baby swimming on time.
When I got up at 9:15 am, I found all four of them asleep! We needed to leave at 9:45, and all three needed to eat and get a new diaper. As you can imagine, it was nearly 10 before we left, and we fed them in the subway.
Because of that out-of-order elevator where we change subways, it took us a very long time to get there, taking the tram instead of the second subway. When we finally got there, my Mom was waiting for us, and the previous class was just finishing, so we really didn't miss anything.
Tammy impressed us this 10th and last session today. We put rings on all their arms, and she actually floated on the water all by hersel! She was so cool and relaxed, I wished I could have taken a picture! They all got to dive again, which they are now getting used to, and it's a shame the class is over. We need to find another one for fall, but this location is just too far for us now.
We had a long trip back home, and all three fell asleep in the stroller. It was already after 1 pm when we got home, and then it took a little time to warm up the food, so it was 1:30 before they got their lunch meal. It was also at that time that Caritas helper Christine showed up to stay for 4 hours and help. She was able to arrange to come help today, which is great. But this was the last time now.
I was so exhausted, I could not even keep my eyes open. I had to lie down, and ended up sleeping for an hour, never moving at at all because of the exhaustion. When I woke up, I wondered if I had missed the IKEA delivery, and what Chistine had done about their second meal. She didn't know that it was in the fridge and had taken a fruit jar from our baby food shelf. However, the fruit did not fill them for long; they usually have cereal with fruit for their second meal. In any case, I'm glad she fed them all, and she was even doing dishes in the kitchen, since the dishwasher wouldn't come on last night. And she even succeeded in making come on again, by pushing hard on the door! After that, it did stop from time to time, and pushing the door would always make it come back on. I wonder if it's just because the front panel is not on yet. I had already called Bosch, and they're sending a repair man on Wednesday. And IKEA has still not called me to let me know when they'll come to finish what they had left undone in the kitchen!
They were hungry early, and so we ended up feeding them their last meal early. After they had all taken a nap with Christine. I was wondering whether they would go to bed so soon after a nap. The answer is no. Christine's hours were up, but she was so kind to stay a little longer, as I had three crying babies. Every time I'd walk away with one, the other two would cry, but they all needed diapers, so I did not have a choice. Having Christine there helped.
She left, and I sat down on the chair sitting in the middle of their three beds. I tried to put them down, but as soon as I put one down and went to the other to put him down, the first one was back on his feet. There was no point, so I just sat down in the middle and let them play. I could not walk away, as that made them cry. Even Sammy kept raising his head high up in the air and giving me a big smile.
I was still waiting for the IKEA delivery; they had called me that they would be late. At 7 pm they finally showed up - all the babies were still awake. And now they were curious to see what was going on. But I still could not walk away!
After they had left, they were slowly getting tired. I gave them all some milk, and they finally stayed down. I had to go back and forth a few times, as Tammy would keep getting up and crying, but then they finally fell asleep.
That's when I get to make my dinner and eat, and I've been eating pretty late, as it takes time to cut my mixed salad all up. I also got some more work done, and now everything is ready for tomorrow, when the rest of our stuff and furniture is moved over here. Randy got home pretty late from the old apartment, where he also got everything ready for tomorrow. He has to leave the house at 7 am, which means I'll have to be with the babies instead of sleeping, as two ladies helping with the babies are only getting here at 9 am. It's gonna be a tiring, tough day tomorrow! I still wasn't able to go to bed earlier tonight, as it's nearly 2 am now. Please pray for tomorrow!
