HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night Emmy needed milk twice, Sammy once, and - very unusual - Tammy also once. While the boys simply continue sleeping when they're done, she starts screaming even then when you put her down. Sigh. I hope she goes back to sleeping through the night. After the tiring day yesterday, it didn't help me get rested for today, and I had to get up earlier than usual once again.
Today we fed them their lunch meal an hour earlier than usual, between 10 and 10:30, as we had to leave just after 11. It was time to all go back to our new apartment, as our new fridge was being delivered, and IKEA was coming to professionally (electronically) measure the kitchen area.
It was another very hot day, and the little ones really suffered in the heat. We took more and more clothes off in the course of the day until they were only wearing their diapers.
We arrived at the apartment at noon, and our new friend met us there to help with the babies for two hours, which was a great help. Emmy and Tammy were both asleep when we got there and continued sleeping for quite some time, so he had our friend all to himself. After the other two woke up later, it was Sammy who needed to sleep and we were glad to have a little baby mattress and sheet there for him.
When we first got there, I created a little play area for them in our future bedroom, but of course, they never stay on the mats. It was a great area for them. Having our friend there to help allowed me to look around at all the guys had done yesterday and move the stuff I could move by myself.
Randy had two jobs today while we were there. The first was to put the changing table together that a friend had just given up. It was really helpful to have it right away. The second was to put our dining room table together. After he was done with that, we left to return home as the babies were hot and tired and cranky. All in all we were there for 4 hours.
Tammy and Emmy had fun going on discovery tour and playing with new toys. They also really like their/our new friend who was with them for two hours. I hope we'll be seeing more of her.
We brought the leftovers of yesterday's pizza with us for Randy to eat. Thankfully I found our electric cooker pretty easily, and set it up on a little shelf. I had also brought a piece of aluminium foil with me that I put the pizza on to warm it up for him. The first piece burned a little! I didn't realize how powerful the burners are. Isn't our little kitchen cute? You can also see the baby food jars we brought to feed them their middle (cold) meal there. I fed them all three, one after another.
On the way home, Tammy and Emmy slept in the stroller. They had been busy! Once home, I got their dinner ready and we fed them all. It was extremely hot in our apartment, and you could tell they were suffering from it. They were more cranky than usual. It's easy to put Sammy to sleep, but not the others. I couldn't even feed Tammy, as she was just screaming! I wished I knew what was wrong, besides the heat. I put some dental cream on, just in case. I could not get her happy, even tried to lie down with ther to rock her to sleep. In the end it was Randy who finally rocked her to sleep; she probably should have been with him from the beginning, her usual place.
I also tried to rock Emmy to sleep. In this heat, the poor baby is sweating where his and my skin touch. He fell asleep, but now that we sleep on a mattress on the floor, I can't get up easily with a sleeping baby in my arm. He woke up, but thankfully he was okay with me putting him into his bed.
It's been another long day, and tomorrow I'll have to get up another hour earlier than today, as we go baby-swimming. Please pray also for Randy, who was in bad shape this morning from the 11 hours of moving heavy stuff he did yesterday. He forgets he is not in his 20s!
