HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
What a day! The night before last I went to bed at 4:30 am, last night thankfully earlier, and Sammy was so kind to sleep through the night for the first time in a long time. However, Emmy needed feeding twice. At 7 am I already had to get up, and so I was extremely tired all day long (I wake up at night).
We expected our friend to show up with the truck at 7:30, but he came about an hour later. We also had two friends that came all the way from Upper Austria to help, that is a 2-hour drive each way! What a sacrifice to help us! They're all real heros. That includes the two friends who came to help with the babies, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The guys worked all day long, for 11 hours, filling the truck twice. Randy came home at 7:30 pm, and is totally beat! He's not in his 20s any more!
They moved everything we could move at this time, and when I see the pictures of the boxes of just the first truck load sitting in our new apartment, I wonder how all this was in our tiny apartment! And that's just the first truck load! The truck was filled a second time!
The first time the guys returned just in time for lunch; I ordered pizzas from the best pizza place in town. I enjoyed the only fellowship time we had all together. When they left the second time, only Randy returned as the others returned home.
It was amazing to see our apartment empty out, and it's so weird to have all this room now. On the other hand, there is still a lot of stuff to be moved!
The babies had a good day, getting so much attention from the ladies who came to help. However, it got really hot in the afternoon, and I could tell it was hard on them. That is why they were only wearing diapers the second half of the day.
Randy was still gone in the evening when it was bed time for them. Sammy is always easy to put to bed, but as for the other two, this was probably the hardest evening yet, and I think it's because it was so extremely hot. For about 2 hours Anna and I tried to rock Emmy and Tammy to sleep, but to no avail. We kept switching babies, and I had them both asleep at some point, but they woke up again when I got up off our mattress that is now on the floor, and so it's hard to get up with a sleeping baby. When Randy returned at 7:30 pm, they were both wide awake and smiling, as you can see on my new profile picture that was taken at that time.
So Randy got to take his much-needed nap, holding Tammy who soon fell asleep. I lay down with Emmy, and succeeding in putting him to bed and him not being upset about it, though he did wake up somewhat getting up off the mattress on the floor.
That's how I end up eating dinner late. And Randy slept a couple of hours before getting up beat and eating his dinner. And tomorrow I'll have to get up earlier than usual once again, and the day after as well. Thank you for praying for strength for us!
