Wow, so much to write today, and it's nearly 2 am, because I've been so busy. The highlight of today is Emmy standing up by himself, and I happened to catch it on video!

But first to last night. Remember, Emmy fell asleep in the big bed with Tammy, because Randy was working in our bedroom. I stayed up, waiting for Emmy to wake up and need milk, and it never happened! He had been drinking before midnight already, but not so last night. Was it being close to his sister that made him sleep until 3:45 in the morning? Maybe, because tonight he needed his milk at 1 am. At the hospital they did tell us to let them sleep together, which is what they did there. We separated them after a while, so they would not wake each other up.

This morning Randy and Sammy left the house at 9:45 to go this physiotherapy session; it will be more than two weeks until his next one now. He did pretty well again today. In fact, he's really trying to crawl now, but it's still hard for him. Today he moved a little bit, pushing himself forward with his legs. I do have to say again that he has become a happy boy, smiling a lot, and every time Mommy or Daddy come over to him and talk to him. And Daddy can make him laugh like nobody else can.

After they left, I was thankful that both Tammy and Emmy fell asleep and slept for a while. That way I was able to also sleep at a time when I'm usually asleep. The three of us got up at the same time, and I got their food ready. It had been a while since they both had had their last bottle of milk. I fed Emmy half his jar, but then put him down, as Tammy was crying because she was so hungry, and Emmy is sometimes hard to feed and it goes really slow. Tammy ate her food fast, and then I fed Emmy the rest, and everyone was happy. It was then that the boys returned from physiotherapy, and Sammy got to eat as well.

They weren't home long, though, as we had to leave at 1:30 pm to go to the pediatrician's. And it was raining hard, so we had to get the plastic out to cover the strollers, but they were for two single strollers, and we had a double. We made it work anyway.

My Mom met us there, and we sat down with all three in the waiting room. I happened to be filming, when Emmy suddenly stood up! My surprise comes across in the video! It was the first time he had ever stood up by himself! And he can't even sit up yet! It took him 3 weeks after Tammy first did it to turn from his back to his belly, but now it's only 5 days after we first saw Tammy stand up (though she had done it before). We'll see when he masters sitting up.

All three were weighed and measured. Tammy is now 70 cm long, Emmy 69 and Sammy 65.5. As for their weight, I prefer our own numbers, as I weigh them Mondays at the same time and under the same conditions. Tammy weighed 7.44 kilos (+160 grams), Emmy 6.93 (+70) and Sammy 6.39 (+110). They are all about half a kilo apart now.

The doctor checked them out, then gave them another (triple) shot. Last time Tammy didn't cry, this time it was Emmy who didn't. Tammy needed longer to calm down. They all slept in the stroller on the way home.

Even though it was 4 pm when we got home, we decided to still feed them their middle meal. Sammy was up right away, Emmy soon after, and then Tammy. It moved their last meal to also being later, and Sammy let us know he did not like that. Randy fed him, and we decided to then give them all their bath together. Last week we had used the bath seats for the first time, but not Sammy, and I wanted him to be included. Well, he didn't like it for long! I don't think they're too comfortable, and he's also not that great at sitting yet. So I took him out of the seat, and bathed him without it for a little bit, before taking him out and putting him to bed. It was after his bedtime!

Tammy and Emmy enjoyed the water for a while longer, and we fed them after their bath, before putting them to bed. At first Emmy was fine, falling asleep, but Tammy is now used to being rocked to sleep. However, one time she cried, it woke Emmy up, and I ended up lying down with him to rock him to sleep. It didn't take long before I could put him back to bed; it takes a little longer for Tammy. It's a cute picture of her and her Daddy sleeping together.
