For some reason Tammy woke up last night and needed milk, when she usually sleeps through the night.
This morning I was pretty busy with babies, and slept a while with Tammy. I ended up getting up later than usual, as Tammy slept pretty long.
After we had all eaten lunch, we packed up to go to our new apartment to continue working. This was our first time back since Thursday, when the fridge was delivered and the kitchen measured. It was another hot day today, and it didn't take long before we took all the babies' clothes off.
First we moved their play area out of our future bedroom into their future bedroom, so Randy could put together our wardrobe and bed in their. First he unpacked our new fridge. It's big and beautiful! I can't wait to have all that room! Right now we have a tiny freezer compartment we never fit anything into, and the fridge hardly has any room in it most of the time.
The babies were playing great all by themselves, having fun, so I was able to help for a while. It didn't last too long before they needed my attention, though, which they got the rest of our time.
After plugging up the fridge, we moved our dining room table to the kitchen. I set up our double burners on it, and once everything is moved, the microwave will also be on it and it will be all I have to do all of our cooking until the kitchen is installed (maybe in 6 weeks).
Then Randy carried some stuff downstairs, and carried many of the boxes filled with my books upstairs to be taken to the basement. And that's all he got done in the time we had there today. Unfortunately we had not found anyone to help us today.
The babies were playing away, and Randy helped me feed them their middle meal as they were all suddenly hungry at the same time. Sammy was tired and fell asleep. The other two kept playing, but when Emmy gets tired, he gets more and more cranky and wants to be held. So I finally sat/lay down on the mat with them, and he quickly fell asleep in my arm. At the same time the girl was climbing all over me and I tried to keep her away from her brother. I finally gently moved away from Emmy and he continued sleeping. I carried Tammy around for a while, as her brothers were asleep, until she also got really tired and fell asleep on my chest. I was glad that she didn't wake up when I put her down. They were not all asleep for long; Sammy woke up first.
Our next-door neighbors were right outside with their two little boys and a little pool they had set up on the patch of grass there. Randy started talking with them, and I joined him while they were all sleeping. It was good to meet them. We still have to meet our neighbors on the other side. They did get to meet Sammy after he had woken up. By the way, that area right ouside our lower level is really not part of the apartment, but accessible to everyone.
Emmy woke up too, and as it was getting late and it takes a while to get home, we decided to get going. At least we got some stuff done. I just wished we could organise moving all the way, but it will have to wait a little, maybe until the end of the month. We'll have to do a weekend with lots of helpers where we move everything else at once.
Back home, it was time to feed them their last meal of the day. Then I changed them and put them to bed. Sammy just goes straight to sleep, but Emmy and Tammy start crying as soon as I start praying for them for the night.
Yesterday I never picked up Emmy, and I did the same tonight. It did not take that long for him to fall asleep. I was determined to do the same with Tammy. I believe she would have fallen asleep in bed last night, but Randy picked her up while I was with Emmy. Tonight she went straight into sleeping position when I put her down, so I stayed with her and stroked her head, and it was working. As soon as I started walking away, she would cry and stand up, which only happend once. I then stayed with her and stroked her until she fell asleep. That's the first time in a long time she fell asleep in bed! Now we have to keep going! Once in the new apartment, their beds will all be next to each other, and when Emmy cries, Tammy does, and vice versa. And Sammy just continues sleeping. 🙂
