HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
As always I got out of bed fast, after Randy woke me up to tell me it's time to feed the babies, and mixed their food up. At first our house guest fed Tammy and Emmy and Randy Sammy, but then I helped with Emmy. After he was done, I let sat him down on the floor and he was so very exited about his freedom! So was Tammy when she joined him. Emmy always wants to test out the boundaries and nearly crawled all the way to the stairs. And he's a fast crawler!
I then cooked our meals, and ate fast as Tammy was really tired and needed help falling asleep. I lay down in bed with her, but at first she was so excited about that, that she just wanted to explore. After a while I held her tight, at first against her will, and that forced her to lay still and she quickly fell asleep. She slept over an hour. I had to get up at one point and leave her there to get their next meal ready, as Sammy was already hungry.
Not long after my return to the side of my girl, she woke up, and so I started feeding her. Emmy was getting fed by Barbara.
Then it was time to get ready for my friend's arrival. I laid the table in the living room and made coffee. She arrived a little later with her three girls, and the party began!
I tell you, the place was busy with 6 kids! My friend's daughters were so excited about the babies (her youngest being 2.5 years old), and wanted to play with them the whole time. My friend had also brought cake and muffins, and said the babies could eat those muffins, so they had a few bites. That's the second time they've had sugar, after the icecream on their birthday, and I'm not really happy about it, knowing how bad sugar really is!
In any case, they had a lot of fun. My friend's youngest daughter REALLY enjoyed the play area and all the toys.
As 5 pm was approaching, Sammy was getting hungry. He's the best alarm clock for when it's time to eat! So I made their food, and all my friend's girls wanted to feed them, but it was better for us to do it. Emmy is in a spitting phase again and was getting it all over me. Tammy hardly ate anything as always at night.
We got them cleaned up and I put them to bed. Again the girls were watching everything and still trying to play with them, which kept them from sleeping. But they had to leave anyway, and so I said good-bye to my friend. It was great seeing her again; she spent a few months in Mali with me in the very early days, before either one of us was married.
Sammy was asleep right away, as he had not slept in the afternoon and was very tired. Emmy fell asleep fast too. Tammy needed a little more time, but it wasn't bad. Both her and Emmy needed milk before falling asleep.
By the time I walked away from them, Randy and Barbara were or had already eaten. I made my dinner and ate it, which always takes really long when I have to cut up my salad, so it was late before I was able to start working. My friend's oldest daughter took a lot of pictures, and so I had 153 pictures to go through and chose from, which took a while. So much for going to bed earlier having a house guest.
