HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
This morning I was woken put by Randy drilling into concrete. Today he put up a lot of our ceiling lights. The babies were with our house guest Barbara and were freaking out again. As Sammy kept crying, I got up and held him to comfort him, while Barbara comforted the others. I wished I had a picture of Randy putting that light up, because it looked really dangerous, how he was balancing off the kitchen counter to get to the light above the staircase. I'm glad he didn't fall.
Well, my sleep got interrupted, though I did lie back down eventually. Even though I thought Randy and Barbara could feed the babies, I did have to get up to organize their lunch meal, tired or not. I fed Sammy, while she fed Tammy and Emmy.
I lay back down after feeding them, together with Emmy who was really tired and who ended up sleeping on me for 90 minutes. Randy and Barbara had an easy ready-to-eat meal. I got up when Emmy woke up and only ate my lunch at 3 pm. I was actually gonna eat first and then feed the babies, but they were hungry and so they got fed first.
Randy had more drilling to do, so I suggested we walk outside with the babies so they don't have to freak out like they do. We did that several times, and it worked out great. Even though we could hear the drill, it wasn't very loud and didn't bother them. And they enjoyed being outside a little, even though it was cold today.
They had a lot of fun with Barbara and each other, and I got some great videos of it. However, whenever they'd see me, they wanted to be with me and started fussing. At 4 pm I sat down at the computer and finally started working. The whole point of having someone to help is for us to be able to get some work done. And I'd like to start going to bed earlier; last night I failed miserably as it was 4 am once again, but I'm hopeful for tonight.
As they had only eaten their second meal at 3 pm, it was nearly 5:30 before we started the last meal. None of them ate very much, but they were tired. Tonight they're wearing long-sleeved pj's for the first time in a while.
Sammy fell asleep immediately as he had not had a nap in the afternoon. I thought the other two would two, but that was not the case. Both of them got up and were laughing at each other and having fun. Every time I'd walk away, they'd cry, but at least that gave them the message that it was time to sleep. It took quite a while - and some milk - before they were finally asleep.
Randy had already cooked an omelet for our guest and they were done eating by the time I started cooking and eating. Thankfully I cut up my salad for two days, so it was nice to have it ready to eat tonight.
Randy was pretty tired, and having reached up to the ceiling all day long, his hands were in bad shape. He deserved the rest tonight! Barbara also went to bed while I was still working at my desk. Now it's just after midnight and I'm planning to head to bed soon. They have all already had milk since going to bed, but they do need it quite frequently at night these days.
