1 year 3 days

This morning I was more busy with helping with the kids than usual. I even ended up feeding all 3 their lunch meal, one after another, as Randy was busy with something else. After I was done, I went straight to bed, instead of cooking the adults' meals. At 1 pm my phone rang as a friend was coming to help with the babies and couldn't get in. That was my cue to finally get up, even though it was tough.

I cooked for Randy, and something else for me, as always, and then we ate, while our friend was with the babies. By the way, until what age can they be called babies? 🙂 By the time we were eating, it was already time for their second meal. We each fed one baby. And then we had to get ready to leave. We haven't been home all day in a while!

At least it was a joyous occasion today; a photographer friend was coming to take pictures. So we rushed to get dressed and make ourselves look nice, and then it was already time to leave. I put the cutest pink dress on Tammy, Sammy was in blue, and Emmy in green clothes. We were so busy I never even took a picture! Now you'll just have to wait for the professional ones, like me.

We were stressed, to say the least. Our friend arrived, and together we started walking towards the Danube, or just a little arm of it, hoping to find a cute backdrop for the pictures there. Well, it took us a lot longer than expected to get there, as we had to walk parallel to the water for a while, but then we found a beautiful spot.

Our last photoshoot on their due date last November was really tough, and today was too. I guess we should have done it in a studio somewhere. They are not used to grass, and Emmy was scared, plus it was really windy, moving all the plants around us. In addition, Emmy and Tammy had slept in the stroller on the way there, and woke up being surrounded by moving green plants. So Emmy was scared and unhappy for a while - not ideal for happy pictures.

It was a tough few hours. First we sat down by the water, and it was a little downhill, with the water behind us, so I was hoping we wouldn't fall in (which we didn't). We tried to take a family picture. Tammy was taken out of the stroller asleep and was gonna continue sleeping in my arm, so I tried to wake her up. Emmy was scared, after just having woken up, and Sammy was unhappy and crying. I can't imagine we have ANY good family pictures! Definitely not any with all of them smiling. And on and on it went. What I do know is that Tammy smiled the most and we should have some really great pictures of her. Emmy never really found his usual happiness.

Exhausted we made our way back home. I was SO glad that our friend had been here, as she was an invaluable helper at the photoshoot.

It was about 5:30 when we got home, and time to eat the last meal. Sammy had slept in the stroller on the way home. I quickly made their food, and again all three of us fed them. Today we put their pj's on for the first time in a long time, as they sometimes pull their diapers off if they sleep longer, and this morning that had happened and Emmy's bed and he himself were all dirty. Plus it's already getting cooler at night.

Tammy was the first one asleep. Emmy was playing around, and only lay down to sleep once I walked away, even though he was not happy at first. Sammy also fell asleep relatively fast.

We were both so tired. I sat at my desk working and not wanting to move, so it was pretty late before I got to eat dinner. Randy sat down in a chair and slept for a good while. Now we're both back at work.
