HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Today was a really tough day, even though we had a great time with our friends visiting. I was very tired, my eyes were in pretty bad shape, and I didn't get anything done. I had an eye operation at the age of 5 because I was cross-eyed, and have had problems all my life, when I don't focus my eyes. The last few months it's gotten pretty bad. When I work on the computer or look at my phone, it's fine. But when I get up and go, go, go, I don't get to focus on anything long enough, and being so tired, I go cross-eyed again, which makes me not see properly and it gets worse and worse because I use only one eye. It's really become a problem, and it's embarrassing. I would have to work on the computer for a while, and then I'd be fine. And of course not be so tired.
Last night I fed Emmy at 1, and the others at 1:30 am before going to bed. I was hoping they'd last until 7 am, but at 3:30 Emmy cried again and I had to get up to feed him. My alarm was set for 8:50, as we now feed them cereal with milk at 9 am and then put them to bed for their morning nap. Randy had to wake me up and when I looked at my phone, the alarm was going off but it was silent! How is that gonna wake me up! I don't know why the phone is doing that. Oh the good old days when we had alarm clocks!
I had been up at 7 holding Sammy until Randy had their milk ready, and then I heard crying for a while, so I had only slept for about an hour since then when I had to get up. I mixed their food up and we fed them. I then put them into their beds. Well, I took Tammy to bed with me, and the boys slept in their beds.
Tammy didn't sleep as long as usual, and so I lay back down to sleep after she woke up and I had taken her down to the play area with Randy. I got back up to make their lunch, this time setting the timer that did go off with sound.
After feeding them, I was just too tired to get up and cook two different meals, one for Randy and one for me, so Randy made his famous omelets. I was playing with them in the meantime, and dared to leave them alone to eat, but just for a short time.
After eating, I rejoined them and we played. Today I discovered that Emmy also has a third tooth that has broken through. And both Tammy and Emmy now walk while holding on to something pretty well. Even holding just one of my hands is enough for them to walk, and sometimes they stand alone for a few seconds. It won't be long now.
At 2:15 we fed them their cereal with fruit, and then it was time for the afternoon nap. They were all pretty tired. I decided to lie down with Tammy again, as she has such a hard time falling asleep. Emmy fell asleep after a while, but Sammy didn't.
They had all just woken up, when our friends arrived at 3:45 pm. They came with their youngest 3-year-old foster daughter and brought some cake and gifts. So we ate cake, drank coffee and tea, and their girl enjoyed playing with our three. The adults did too. At 5 pm I made the babies' dinner. Tonight it was bread with cream cheese, cantaloupe, strawberry and raspberry I all cut into small pieces. Randy fed Sammy, I fed Emmy, and our friend fed Tammy. Then it was time for them to go to bed, and our friends said their good-byes. I had really enjoyed seeing them again.
I changed them all, put their pj's on, and we sat down on our bed for a Bible story. Again, Emmy just wanted to move, and not hear a story, but thankfully the stories are short. I then prayed over them and put them to bed with a bottle of milk. Sammy and Emmy fell asleep fast, but not so Tammy. It was already a little later than usual, but still, Tammy had a really hard time. I'm not sure if she had any tooth pain or so. It was 7 pm before she finally fell asleep.
Randy was gone at that time to go grocery shopping, and I was so exhausted, I decided to take a bath. Normally the kids sleep for a while before needing anything, and Randy was supposed to be back soon. That was only my second bath since moving, and I greatly enjoyed it.
I was finally eating at 10 pm, when Sammy woke up needing milk, and then Tammy woke up, and then Emmy. Emmy fell back asleep pretty fast, Sammy was wide awake and needed a while, and Tammy had a really hard time again but finally slept again. So it was pretty late before I was done eating and able to start working. And there's so much today, especially with baby swimming starting again tomorrow, in a new location, with a new organization, and it means getting up even earlier and leaving the house early! I'd better go to bed soon!
