HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
A lot of changes are happening right now! Last night I went to bed at a quarter past midnight for that reason, but then I lay awake for an hour, as I'm not used to going to bed that early. Barely asleep (for about an hour), I had to get back up and feed all three. But then they slept until 7 am which has become their regular time they get up.
While Randy gets all their milks ready, I usually hold Sammy and keep him happy until the milk is ready, as he otherwise gets too worked up and upset to drink. Randy then puts a bottle into Emmy's and Tammy's hand and picks up Sammy to feed him, while I can go back to sleep.
But today my alarm went off just before 9 am already, instead of 11:30, as we have decided to feed them their milk cereal at 9 am instead of at night, when they hardly ever eat any of it, and now that they eat bread then. So half asleep, I mixed up the cereal, put it on the table and went to get Emmy and Tammy, while Randy carried up Sammy. I fed the two, and Randy Sammy. Then another change, morning nap time in their beds. I put them each into their bed. Sammy fell asleep, and the others were tired, but in the end, I took Tammy to bed with me where we both slept, and Randy rocked Emmy in the chair, where they both slept. Everyone slept for a long time, so it worked, though not with them sleeping in their beds.
After they woke up, it was already lunch time. We fed them, and then Randy stayed with them so I could cook for us. I had just finished cooking, when our friend Anna arrived to help. She stayed with them, while we had a chance to eat. Before we were done, another friend arrived, who had offered to give Randy a ride to the close-by Ikea, so he could buy the last furniture item we need that they will not deliver to the house for some reason. So he was gone for an hour before returning with it.
And right after he left, Anna wanted to take all three for a walk. What a challenge! I got our carriers back out, picked one, and she strapped Sammy on her chest, while I put the others into the stroller, and off she went. When she walked by on her way to the park, I took their picture. At first Sammy wasn't happy, but once she was moving, he was fine. She returned nearly half an hour later because Emmy was really tired an in danger of falling asleep. But it was time for their second meal, followed by a nap.
So I fed Sammy, while she fed Tammy and Emmy, as Randy wasn't back yet. Then I put them into their beds. Well, Emmy actually never fell asleep. Anna even picked him up to try to rock him to sleep, but the sleepiness was gone. Sammy didn't sleep either, with Randy trying to help him sleep. I took Tammy to bed with me again, and she slept over an hour on me. So this nap time was less successfull.
Then it was play time until their last meal of the day after 5 pm. Anna took Tammy and Emmy outside our porch door downstairs, and Sammy stayed with me so he'd stay happy. I held him, and he was okay being in the swing next to me for a while. When Anna came back in, she took a picture of me and them, which was nice, as I'm not in a lot of pictures. I then had to go get their dinner ready. Anna continued playing with Tammy and Emmy, and Randy took care of Sammy. It takes a considerable amount of time making bread with cream cheese and cutting it into tiny pieces, and then I also cut banana and cantaloupe into tiny pieces, put it all on the dining room table, got their beds and pj's ready, and filled the bathtub with water, soap and toys. Only then did we all sit down at the table for some finger food. We had to put it into their mouths, and they're not very excited about the bread with cheese. However, they love the fruit and eat it fast, and before I knew it, it was all gone. Anna had to say her good-byes, and I was just so thankful she'd been here to help.
I then bathed Sammy, who is still crying when I do, and put him to bed. Then I put Emmy and Tammy into the bathtub, who enjoyed playing in there a lot. They just slip sometimes as they stand up and move. After a while I got Emmy out and put him to bed, and then it was Tammy's turn.
Sammy and Emmy fell asleep pretty fast - even without milk that I had wanted to give them first! Tammy had had a long nap, and did not fall asleep for a very long time. She looked really tired though, and after a while I decided to give her dental cream, as she was crying more than she should and should already have been asleep. When I rubbed the cream on her gum, I noticed that her third tooth has broken through on the top! She's now the first one to have a third tooth! Emmy had been the first to have a tooth at all, but this time she regained her top spot. No wonder she was hurting. After that, it did not take long for her to fall asleep, and she had had a big bottle of milk. By then the boys had also had a big bottle of milk to drink; Emmy fell right back asleep, but Sammy needed a little longer, as he was really awake.
So after a long time with them, I was finally free to get my own food ready and eat. Randy was putting the wardrobe together - the last missing furniture item - and is gonna finish it tomorrow.
And now to succeeding in going to bed early again!
