Last night it was really late again before I went to bed, 3:45 am to be exact, but I'm planning on going back to an "early" bed time again tonight. Especially as we're making some changes. In fact the changes started yesterday, and I completely forgot to tell you about them.

This morning they woke up at 7 am again; a good time to wake up. Somehow I can't remember this morning at all, though I was up and helping and even downstairs, but that's about it. Now I remember that I got Tammy and lay down in bed with her, and she ended up sleeping over an hour. When she woke up, it was lunch time for everyone.

After feeding them, I cooked lunch, while Randy stayed with them, we ate, and spent more time with them. They spend more and more time outside their play area now, as they really love getting out. And Sammy has been needing more time being held by us recently. I often have to hold him, and sometimes he lets me put him in the swing right next to me at my desk, but only for a while. Emmy has a lot of fears for some reason, while Tammy has hardly any. Besides balloons and grass, he was also afraid of this little talking and moving mouse you can see on the right in the first picture.

As they hadn't eaten quite as much as usual at lunch, we fed them their second meal a little earlier. Then I noticed that they were all pretty tired. I was weighing it all up and then decided to try to put them all into their beds for a nap. A fellow triplet Mom does that every morning and afternoon, and it works after they get used to it. When I've tried it, it miserably failed, but today it miraculously worked! We went upstairs and I put them into their regular beds, and Sammy fell asleep right away, Emmy didn't take long, and only Tammy needed a little time, but not that much. All three asleep during the day! A rarity! I was able to go downstairs and work at my desk, and had the picture and audio of them sleeping right next to me thanks to my Echo Show. When have I ever been able to work like this in the afternoon! I was absolutely amazed at how long they slept. They lay down at 2:45 pm, and it was 4:15 pm when Sammy was the first to wake up, which woke up Emmy and then Tammy. They were crying, probably confused waking up in their beds in the middle of the day, and we quickly went to get them and take them downstairs.

We played for a while, and at 5 pm Sammy let us know it's time for food. And tonight dinner was different for the second day in a row. A typical Austrian dinner is bread with cheese and ham or sausage. I was researching the babies' transition from baby food to our food, and found that we still have some time, and they recommended giving them bread with cream cheese at night. So I took it to church with us last night, and tonight I spread cream cheese on bread again and cut it into small pieces. I also cut part of a banana into small pieces, and put it all on the dining room table. I also decided to try using the high chairs again, as they were not tired like they had been at dinner time.

And it worked. Emmy agreed to go into the chair for the first time in a long time. They were all looking at that green plate of food in front of them. It's strange that they don't go for it, touching it and trying to put it into their mouths. Sammy did put his hand in there. Instead I had to pick it up and put it into their mouths for them. They did seem to like it. Tammy did pick up her plate and throw it right away; Emmy had a special suction mat that made that impossible. I'll have to get two more.

While they ate the bread, they loved the banana, and ate it fast. Tomorrow I'll cut up more of it.

I let them roam around free on the floor, while first getting Sammy ready for bed. I was wondering how they'd do going to bed already, as they had slept so long. Surprisingly Sammy fell asleep fast, and he did not want any milk.

It was different for the other two. They loved the milk, but were not ready to sleep yet. Instead they played happily for a while, while I was sitting next to them letting them play. I sat there for over an hour before they also both fell asleep, but that was okay. I think it was a success, and we need to try it again tomorrow.
