1 year 14 days

It was after 2 am when I went to bed, and someone always needs milk before shift change at 4 am. And then I didn't get to sleep all through the morning again. For the second day in a row Sammy was just screaming and Randy unable to feed him, so I was the one feeding him his milk.

I got up earlier than usual, put their food in the warmer, and went downstairs as I heard a baby crying. I found Tammy asleep on Randy, and the other two unhappy, so I stayed with them.

Today we fed them all three meals downstairs, as it's just so much easier than in the high chairs they don't want to be in. I usually have Tammy sit on one leg, and Emmy is closeby, though not sitting still, while I put spoonfulls of food into his mouth. He did not like the afternoon snack today, so I gave him just pear sauce, which he liked, but it meant that he was hungry soon (no cereal in it).

I'm usually the one with them in the afternoon, when there is no helper, but I was thankful for Randy to take my place, as I had so much office work I had to do, and it allowed me to make good progress.

At one point Randy left the door to the play area open, and Emmy immediately sprints towards it when it's open, so out he went, and Tammy followed. Randy just stayed outside with them for a while. They love getting out.

Tammy was getting really tired in the afternoon, and I let her fall asleep on my chest at 4 pm, which I knew was a bad idea. With one hand I held her, with the other I tried to continue doing office work. When Emmy was getting hungrier and hungrier, I put her on Randy's chest and left to make their dinner, even though it wasn't 5 pm yet.

After eating and going through the bed routine, Emmy and Sammy fell asleep right away. As expected, Tammy did not. I had to stay with her for a long time - and gave her some milk - until she finally did. Emmy woke up before she ever fell asleep, and so he got some milk too and fell back asleep holding his bottle.

At 9 pm he woke up screaming and throwing a fit. I made him milk, but every time I'd try to put it into his mouth, he'd kick it away. Even Randy couldn't get him to start drinking. I finally gave in and picked him up, which is what he wanted, and he got quiet. He still didn't want any milk. I just held him for a while, and then he let me put him back into his bed and he soon fell asleep.

His crying had woken up Sammy, who got his bottle instead. By the way, Sammy crawled again today.
