HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Last night they went to bed late, after we got back from church, and it made a difference in that nobody woke up crying for milk. I dream-fed all three at 1:15 am, so I could go to bed and hopefully sleep a couple of hours. Unfortunately Emmy already woke up 2.5 hours later, wanting MORE milk, and he woke his sister up as well, so I fed them both before going back to bed.
It was around 5 am when they were all up. Sammy was really hungry and crying, and Randy takes longer than me when making their milk. By the time he came with the bottle, he was just crying and not drinking, and his way of trying to get him to drink didn't work. So I got up and fed him. Later I went to pick up the crying girl, as Randy was taking the boys downstairs, and she was left upstairs by herself for a few minutes. So that was what I was doing instead of sleeping.
I've now set my alarm to 11:30 am every day. I got up and got their food ready, and at noon I went downstairs to call them to lunch. What I found was all 4 of them asleep!!! Randy with Emmy and Tammy, and Sammy in his little bed. Randy told me that Sammy had slept over 2 hours! So I actually cooked my own meal, and then had to interrupt eating it as they were waking up. I first fed Emmy, and then Tammy, which worked out well, as it's been hard to feed them at the same time, with at least one of them not wanting to go into the high chair.
After I had finished eating and making Randy's food, I joined them in the play area. Emmy had a much better day - no fits.
Grandma came after 2 pm to stay until 4. She had lots of fun with them, and fed Tammy her middle meal. They got to come out a little too, and it was hilarious when Emmy and Tammy were talking to each other through the shelf.
After my Mom left, I stayed with them in their play area. Today Sammy impressed us, because it's the first time we have seen him trying to crawl and actually succeed! You go, Sammy! He's using both - his legs to push, and his arms to pull himself forward. Pretty soon he should be all over the place.
As dinner time was approaching, the started getting more tired and cranky. With the first meal having been late, and therefore the second, I had wanted to push the third forward as well, but Sammy knows when it's 5 pm and dinner time, no matter what. So I got the food ready, and they ate 20 after 5. I was able to put Tammy into the high chair, though she protested at first, and held Emmy, and fed them at the same time. They ate more than I had expected.
Monday is bath and weigh-in day, and so I had the bathwater ready. It's getting a little hard to weigh them with the baby scale now, as they're too big, so today I tried the regular scale, but it only gives you one digit after the dot. I weighed Tammy on both, but Emmy refused the baby scale.
Sammy has been crying every time I put him in the bathwater the past few times, including today. After he was in bed, the other two went in to play, and they loved it. They didn't really want to come back out!
But it was bed time. Sammy had fallen asleep right away, Emmy did too, but was back up just a little time later, when I gave him milk. Tammy didn't take very long either.
Tonight it was Sammy who first wanted milk at 9 pm already. Tammy cried for milk at 10:30 pm, and her diaper was so full that her pj's were wet, so I had to change her and give her a new pj. She never really woke up all the way and just continued sleeping after all the milk was gone. I then decided to dream-feed Emmy while I was at it, so it should be quiet for a while.
Randy put the last light up tonight. Now all the lights are up! Now it's just a few more shelf inserts and a simple wardrobe we still have to buy, plus a few other little things.
Tammy now weighs 8.5 kilos (+210 grams), Emmy 7.8 (+100) and Sammy 6.74 (+120).
