HEALING 2 THE NATIONS INTERNATIONAL
Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your inheritance. (Ps 2:8)
Today their biological age is 10 months.
I again succeeded in going to bed earlier last night, but that doesn't mean I have to get up at times when a baby needs milk. This morning was tough. Sammy did not want to go back to sleep after being fed around 5 am and just cried and cried, which woke the other two up. I held him, which calmed him down for a while, but then he started crying again. At the same time I tried to calm down Tammy, and keep the bottle in her mouth, as she was hungry; at that point Emmy was still asleep. Randy then took Sammy and rocked him to sleep. After putting him back into his bed, he got Emmy and rocked him. I still came to help Tammy to finish her bottle. So a busy morning at a time I usually sleep.
Our routine after getting up at lunch time was pretty much the same as always; sometimes the days all blend together and I can't even remember it any more, were it not for the pictures. Today Tammy refused as well to go into the high chair, but I cannot feed both Emmy and Tammy while holding them in my arm. I ended up putting one into their bed, and feed the other, and then switch, even though they did not like being in their beds.
For the 3 pm meal, I decided to feed them right there in their play area, as that's a lot easier. I had Tammy sitting on me, and Emmy was right there, opening his mouth so I could feed him as well.
Emmy is still throwing his tantrums, when he's not happy, and it's concerning. He puts his head back and lets himself fall on toys, as if he was trying to hurt himself, and when he does that, he will not be comforted. One time I was able to stop him by throwing him a ball, as he loves playing ball.
I also had them out a little bit, as they love roaming around free, but you have to be really vigilant and can only do it for a time.
It was a rather cool fall day, and so I picked some long-sleeved pants out for them to wear to church. The trains only run every half hour so we HAVE to catch it if we want to be on time. We got them all dressed in real pretty clothes, packed them into the strollers, got ourselves ready and left and made the train. After the train, we had to ride the tram, and got onto the one going into the wrong direction at first. We still arrived at church on time - which we hadn't done in a long time.
Emmy fell asleep just before getting there, and slept for a good while in the stroller. That made it a little easier. Randy had Sammy, and I had Tammy. Tammy was wearing stockings that made walking a little slippery for her, but she did walk a few steps holding onto my hands! It won't be long now!
Afte Emmy got up, it got a little more challenging. Thankfully three people came to offer help - Corona or not. The first one took Tammy, but Tammy does not know her, and she was crying, so she came back to me. Later Anna came, who they know well, and she had Emmy for the rest of the service. She told me that he was clapping along (so was Tammy), and that he raised his hand and smiled when they asked who'd been there before.
I held Tammy for much of the time, and she was getting more and more tired. She finally fell asleep on my chest. When the service ended, I put her into the stroller, where she continued sleeping until home. Emmy went back in as well - which is always very challening, as he does not want to go in - and so did Sammy. Sammy hadn't slept in a long time and didn't seem tired. He didn't even fall asleep on the way home, neither did Emmy, who I had to try to keep happy the whole trip home.
We ended up going back home the same way we came, even though it was risky, with the S-trains not running often. The tram came right away, and then on the platform we saw that a regular train was coming just a few minutes later. The challenge is that you have several high steps to get into those trains, but we decided to do it rather than wait another 15 minutes. Several people offered to help, which was nice, and we got the strollers in, and then out, and then it was only a few more minutes to walk home. However, Emmy was done with the stroller, and so I took him out and let him ride sitting on the stroller handle again, which he enjoyed.
It was 8 pm when we got home, even though it felt so much later. I got them all changed, prayed for them, and put them to bed, and they all fell asleep pretty fast. Then it was time for us to eat. Randy went to bed early tonight as well, as the work around the house is slowly coming to an end until we have some money to buy the last few items. And I'm trying to get everything done fast as well to keep up my 1 am bed time.
